Bank of America branch in Los Angeles - robbed the bank around 10 am and went in a vehicle and in order to distract attention of public and create a crowd they threw money outside the car. Thanks to internet-- the incident video is online. http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/lanow/2012/09/bank-robbery-suspects-toss-money-during-bizarre-televised-chase.html Bank robberies are continuing in spite of all advanced measures like CCTV, security etc. Even the presence of security guards is not reducing the robbery. I am not sure whether there are security arrangements in all bank branches/ATMs .

Hi Ravisivan, Yes now itself I have watched the video clip, the culprits throw the money to divert traffic and police on the road. Now and then this type of things are happening. Though they have taking full security at the airports and other important places the things are going on, that is there fate. God only saves us,have a nice day.

Hi Ravisivan, Thanks for the response, that is common now days. Some thing happen some where, when planning the theft they does not know they might be caught. Money lures them to rob the bank, and they think that it is easy after verifying the loop holes in security system there in the bank. So they have tried and caught, have a nice day.

yugasini The culprits were caught in the end. Culprits. why they were indulging in such activities is not known.

Even with all of the current security measures in place, this person must have felt quite desperate to attempt this. But WITH those advances, it will be easier to capture the perpetrator than ever before. And quite often, extensive research has gone into preparation prior to the crime actually being committed. I'm sure they'll have a suspect soon.

That's ok ravisivan-you've been quite prolific here on the site! I'm glad to hear that they were caught in the end-CCTV films have improved immensely since they were first introduced.

It is astonishing that even after such security measures, such burglaries happen. May be they need stronger guards, but criminals always catch up and inflict damage when least expected.

There are some security measures in all of the banks that I know about. For example, all banks have security cameras and a panic button behind the counter. There are other banks in our area that have further security measures like having a uniformed police officer in the bank whenever they are open. What I observe that tends to be the case here is that the banks that do not always have police officers on site tend to be robbed more often. I also believe that bank robbery will never come to an end as long as there are deperate people.

you have explained nicelyc you seem to be having good idea about security measures taken in banks. nice. bank robberies -- as you say is bound to be there-- people want to lead luxurious life with less work and they want to become rich quickly.

I think that the robbers couldn't have escaped because there were many police cars following them. The bank branches take a lot of security measures, but despite this robberies are happening always. Which are the causes of these events is an interesting question.

I have no idea why the robbers threw money while being chased by cops, maybe they wanted people to bizarre over to pick up the money and wanted to go free on that moment as shown in movies. Robbing a bank is now not easy but why do people do it? .....

Seriously i am really doubtful any bank robber will threw their booty from the heist to the public after going through all these trouble, they are not out to commit a crime that is going to benefit the public except themselves. Chances are some these robbed money are accidentally flew off the robber hand, or they are just a small percentage of the total that used to distract the heavy pursuit from police cruisers behind. Bank robbers are no Robbinhood or Saint that prepare to commit crime for the sake of the public or ordinary people, most of these type of bank robbers are only existed in our big screen and TV set, not in real life. Threw money out of their car is no doubt an effective way to draw crowd and distract close chase from behind, it sure doesn't happen very often during bank robbery, may be once in a hundred or thousand bank robberies; if not, that will be nice for the pedestrians and by standers.

See the real happening is caught in the video and culprits know it. in spite of it they commit crime. they threw dollars so that people will stand on the road and stop the traffic. luckily that did not happen because in usa cars go very fast and no one can dare to come on to the road.
