If you were going to travel, do you travel with heavy luggage? I am correlating with an idiom expression, bringing the cabinet in a bulky traveling bag. It is acceptable to bring a big size luggage, going for a vacation overseas or abroad. Have about the idea of out town? I anticipate that it wasn't that far. In case like this, I just carry a back pack.

I want to explore Philippines and spend more time with a special someone with me. I try not to carry too much stuff with me. The more stuff I bring with me the slower we can travel. Because the focus will be on the luggage. My action plan, I tried to budget the clothes to wear and things to bring with me. I don't bring too many clothes which I can used them in my travel days.

Although I don't think I bring a lot of things when I have a travel, but my husband always says I bring a whole house when we have a travel:) Of course I disagree with him. I just bring something necessary. How can I bring nothing to have a travel?:) I love China

travel light, travel easy is what a friend would say. i would prefer to travel light when the targeted destination is not really that far. it also depends on what you are going to do to the place you wanted to visit.

It really depends on the kind of trip that I am taking whether I am a light traveler or a heavy traveler, but for the most part I would say that I tend to be a light traveler. The reason that I say that is because of the fact that unlike many other women, I don't require the same kind of toiletries that many other ladies think that they need to carry with them. In addition to that, if a trip is not a really, really long trip, then I was brought up to wear the same pants for more than one day before washing them.

I always start by trying to pack lightly, and end up with more stuff than anticipated! But I hate to spend precious vacation money, for something that I had at home and easily could have brought it.When traveling by plane I have to be more careful, because they look at the weight of the suitcase, and also now we have to pay per luggage when we fly in North America. So that makes it harder to pack. When we drive, there is no problem, can stuff the trunk and even he back seat!!!

As much as I want to carry light luggage in my travels but seldom can I afford to since most of my travels would entail me to carry more. Especially when I have my wife and son with me. But of course we try to make our travel as light as possible.

I got a back last 2009 when I worked for the governments, it's survey so I looked for one at the surplus, I got one of more than 20 dollars (in Philippine peso here)... My last travel was April this year with my colleagues here, some couple of ours drive, I guess it's almost 12 hours, and bring lights luggage only! Yeah, 2 shirts, 2 underwear, 1 pants, toothpaste, toothbrush... all necessary things, charger of course!

I cant travel light , I always set up my bag and then I realize I have too much things in it . It always seems I cant leave nothing out. It is acceptable to bring a big size luggage when traveling over seas , I always do or else your going to be missing a lot of things when you reach . It all depends on the time I am planning to stay out of town .

Shav, if i am going for vacation for only up to 3 days, then i would only bring a small size luggage bag. Because i and hubby don't change that much and my child had already grown up. Not need to bring along lots of extra clothes for him to change like when he is still a baby. Last year, i gone for vacation for nearly a week to one of my uncle's village, i bring a big luggage bag. At that time, it is exactly raining season, so i am well prepared for the worse to come while at the village.

If i am to travel in a far place, i always would like to travel light. I schedule my clothes, according to the places i will go. As to the shoes, i only bring one aside from what i am wearing. I also see to it that my clothes are what is matching to the type of shoes i have.

I always travel as light as I can. Even on one month holidays in NY with my daughter. I have been traveling from one country to another my whole life traipsing through the African bush, enjoying the beaches, loving the sunshine. Toronto had me for about 27 years, but still I traveled light. For a whole month I would have two pairs of pants, three shirts, half a dozen underwear, socks for cold nights, a light jacket, pair of running shoes and one pair good shoes; that is it. No unnecessary clothes.

before i went to manila and will stay at my brother's apartment. he murmured as he carried my bulky bag because it was too heavy at that. imagine we need to travel riding a bus and then he need to help me carry all of my stuff. he told me, don't you have any plan to go home because i guess, you already brought your all things with you. i just laughed with him and said nothing. my main purpose during that time was i need not to buy plenty clothes because i had mine already. but as i worked abroad, i just brought pairs of clothes and few working clothes with me. all were being intact in my small travelling bag (with wheels) if not too heavy to drag my bag as i travel, well, i would like to bring all necessary stuff but since the hassle of carrying all of it sometimes is intolerable, so by then, i decided to bring the most important things with me. so that's all. thanks

I'm a light traveler, I don't bring a lot of clothes because I am not a very organized person, if i will bring a lot of luggage Im going to have trouble packing and unpacking things. A Back pack and a small traveling bag will do for a week or 2 travel.

I am guilty. I am a heavy traveller. I just don't know how to pack the necessary things. Though I make a checklist. I still think it's not enough. I don't bring lots of clothes, I bring things to keep me company if ever it gets boring. What to do?

Hi there Shavkat, Being a light traveler is one of my aim. That carrying a light luggage is one of the things I am longing to do. Since I am quite tired bringing a heavy bag everytime I travel either local or international trips. But, still I can't squeeze up my things to make it lighter. What to do, perhaps, I will just buy a stroller so I will not carry the bag on my shoulder.

Hello friend. Thanks for your discussion it gives me a little tips what to bring during a travel. I think it's better to carry a back pack because its more comfortable to travel. Maybe you can buy a lot of souvenirs during your travel..:)

Maybe if I go, I plan first items that suit your needs, do not carry excessive. If it is required to carry heavy items if it suits their needs, so no problem.

Before when I was in college, I was really a paranoid kid on what to bring when I travel. I always see to it that I have everything. I always think of all the possibilities of what events may happen. Maybe I should bring gowns, or swim wears, and all those stuffs. But my mother always rattles at me everytime I go home and that I won't be needing all those clothes anyway. I was just having a hard time bringing them on and off my travels. So, since then, i travel light. It's much more easier and comfortable to travel. I only bring fewer clothes that I only need. One small trolley bag is enough for me to bring.

I am definetly the one who travel a lot and bring few things.I don't wanna to be so tired ,you know, walking in the sites full of people is so undertaking for one who carry a big bag ,not to mention to catch a car or train.Actually I think it's unnecessary to bring lots of lugguage coz you are not leave home for a long time. it's a trip, so ,just bring something really necessary and your happy mind.
