After months of searching for a job, finally I've got my first job. Tomorrow will be my first day of work and I don't know what to do. Should I wait for the instruction? or should I be the one to ask question. The manager did orient me but she just said the nature of my work. What scares me is that when I arrive their what will I do first?

You should report to the manager, and he or she will take it from there.

I am happy for you my friend. Don't be nervous. Be conbfident. When you go to work tomorrow, maybe you can go to HR to ask for your job description, because they have that for every position. Here in our company , the HR will inform you about the nature of your job and the policies of the company. Then an HR representative will introduce you to each department before finally turning you over to your immediate boss. So maybe that's also the case to your new company. Good luck my friend.

Congratulations on your new job! I think it would be best to make a very good first impression. Asking what you exactly need to do is a good move. Your boss will think that you are enthusiastic to start with your job. Just do not over do with the asking, okay? Coz you might sound too forward. Good Luck!

Congratulations! Just be yourself, do not be nervous. Being nervous will sometimes get you into trouble because you cannot think well. Just be calm. Yes wait for instructions, anyway its your first day. But be sure to do it right when you are given a task. With that it will reflect your professionalism and may impress your superiors.

Congratulations! If you don't know what to do, you have to ask someone about it. It's better to seek guidance than to commit mistakes. If you have some questions, try to read about your rules and regulations or policies. All of your questions can be answered there. If there are more questions, try to ask one of your colleagues. Wen you arrive there, sit and relax. LOL. What's your job by the way? Thanks for sharing and happy mylotting.

First, you have to be there on time. You need to log in or use the bundy clock if they have any. Then proceed to the department or section where you are assigned and start doing your work slowly orienting yourself to the new job. Be sure to know the limitations of your area of responsibility.

congratulations!!! as you reached there, collect all the confidence you can muster so that you will not be intimidated with your feelings of being scared. greet them with a smile and enthusiasm. of course, meet the manager first then ask what would be your task then listen attentively. if he will tell you to wait for awhile then do it or if he entrusted you to other employee there, then follow his order. am sure your boss have things in mind already what you are going to do in that firm. be polite and always wear a smile. best wishes :)

If it is your first job, there will be about two months probation, then you should learn the basic knowledge about your job and get used to it,so during this period you should be more positive and learn the knowledge and practise, but man pls take it easy and no need in a hurry, you will get used to it gradually.

Don't be hesitant in asking questions if you wanted to ask, but of course limit your questions. If there are things you don't understand ask for it surely your manager will appreciate for he can feel that you wanted to learn. The first you have to do is be on time. :)

Congratulations! Good for you that you had finally gotten a job. I'm still crossing my fingers now because I just went through two examinations where I am applying. I'm hoping to get in and get some good job too. I can see that you are really excited with that job. I guess you should wait for an instruction especially that you are not yet well acquainted to the job. You should wait but you should also be alert to what you should know. Asking is also a way to get to know things in your job, but just ask moderately. You think too much what will happen tomorrow in your job. Just relax and sleep early so you will have a clear mind when you get to your work. Things will be okay as long as you follow and do what it is intended for you. Good luck with that! Hope things will be doing great! :)

First of all "Congratulations!". Well, make a good impression. A good one that will last to the eyes of your superiors and your colleagues. But make sure you don't outdo it. Dress appropriately. Be respectful. Always smile and be ready for the instructions. Always have a paper and pen. Don't act "know-it-all" person. Ask if necessary. Good luck!

congratulations. they would surely give you an idea of your work and how this should be done. Normally some companies provides new employees a guidelines of their duties and responsibilities. From there you could ask for further clarification and assistance if needed. I think your office-mates would be more than willing to extend a helping hand. Just relax and good luck.

Congratulations. Go through the orientation and then when you get a chance discuss with your new supervisor on the expectation. If you are not given anything, try to read up the policies and procedures and anything related to your job. First job is usually exciting and scary.

Congratulations and Good luck! Everyone has given you some great advice. It really is exciting to start a new job and anxiety can run wild. There are always people to help you on the way and answer questions you may have. If you are uncertain about anything spaek up and ask. As stated by a fellow mylotter, do not act like a know it all and read the handbook or guidelines they have. It is always best to be pleasant and smile even in the worse cases. Good Luck!

Good for you! And don't worry too much, as a new comer, your manager expects that you will have lots of questions regarding your job. He or she will actually be surprised if you don't have any. This is also a good indication that you care about your job and you want to do it the right way. Good luck!
