Mean/rude people

I ran into one today, and it can bring you're whole day down. If it were me and I was to say or do something mean or rude to someone else I would feel bad about it, especially if they approached me with a kind tone or if they haven't done anything wrong to me.
How do they get like that and be so cold? what are ways to deal with it?

Hello liz and welcome to myLot. I'm sorry that that person ruined you day. I just hat it when people do that to me. Especially family. My granddaughters did that to me yesterday. I guess they don't figure that you have feelings. It takes so little effort to say something negative in a nice way. I tried to explain something to my granddaughter about potatoes,. She came back with a snotty answer. I don't know what you can do about it but just try to let it roll off like water off a ducks back.

thanks for your response, well my husband always tells me let it through one ear and come out the other.
