Are PTC sites genuine to earn

While working online I came across some PTC sites with good numbers of members and flashing payment proofs with assurance of earning a good income for life. Due to my curiosity I also joined some of those sites and tried to see whether they are true to their voice or not. By the way with little effort I could earn some little money but it was not sufficient to afford my living. What U think can PTC sites help to earn a living?

There are several sites that are legit. I haven´t found a way to earn a living with them, but I don´t live in the IS (US residents have a lot more posibilities of earning online) and I don´t need to earn so much either. As it is, I pay for vacations each year with my online earnings. When you start, you need to be aware that there are scam sites and that you cannot go far without referrals. Renting referrals has not worked for me, so I exchange sites with friends and we each get a free direct active referral. 
In some countries the cost of living is cheaper than in others. In those countries it is probable that the amount you earn online is more significant. I earn about $100 a month, but it won´t be enough to live with that money.
