dont you think our teachers deserves respect in our society?

Famous saying "Teaching Is One Profession That Creates All Other Professions". Either the above line is very short in words but the depth of these words are far beyond. A person that does not respect its teacher can never be termed as a "Literate Person". In today's societies, where even parents are not respected, how can you think about a teacher to be respected. I am not targeting any specific region but if I am not wrong it is happening all around the world. In specific, Human approach is changing due to fast developing pace of Technology. Everyone is just limited to his/her pc, laptop, tablet, etc. We are living in a world where facebook, twitter matters not the human itself.

hey thanks for such a thought provoking discussion. Well to start with, teachers have been placed at a higher position than that of a God in our society for they are the messengers of knowledge and education. We have always been taught from ages to respect our teachers. But times have changed and youngsters these days are no longer paying respect to teachers and regard them as any other person and this may be due to the increasing commercialization of education system and the changing tastes of the new generation. What say?
