Are You a Texter or Caller - and Why?

In the presence of the mobile era... are you a texter or caller? Why do you prefer so? What's more expensive for you?
Obviously, calling is expensive, but postpaid plans nowadays makes calling not expensive at all... here, I got 250 all network texts, and free calls, it's unlimited for similar network calls.
Texter - am not more of it... yeah am lazy when it comes to texting, but rarely, I typed few words and sent them.
Caller - am more of it... for important matters, for same networks... because it's easier, dial then call.
How about you guys? Why? Are you postpaid too like me?
(Am not yet billed though, I just got this less than a month ago)

I prefer texting more than calling. Yes i do agree that sometimes texting is very tiring, but I prefer texting since it allows me to do other things without actually having to be close to my phone. I could just text somebody, be away from the phone for about, say, 10-15 minutes, and return to reply the text. Another reason is that I find it easier to convey some things I want to say through text rather than direct calls, but maybe it is just me. haha

I love the opposite, would you believe I can stay on call for 60 minutes?

Wow. Sometimes I do that as well, but only at night, preferably near sleeping time. I just can't find the spare time to call during the day :)

I hate talking on the phone. I never know what to say Or if I'm being paid attention to or even understood. Besides most calls are bad news. I don't text either.I email or I speak face to face. With both I can gather my thoughts and know I'm being heard.

Your type of work seems like hell to me. I could do live chat but on the phone? No thank you.

You are right there, those media can impair language, but today I have no choice but use my phone to call, you know... but here at work, yeah, I have some problem talking to customers especially if they have low voice...

Honestly my dear brother...
I am NOT neither of the two
That is why when friends wants to asks me something, they will call because they knew very well that I cannot text them back.
I seldom put load on my mobile phone.
They even say that my handset is just for display -which is very true.
So, when a new friend ask for my number, my other friends (who knows me very well) will raise their eyebrows and laugh and comment " oh no, never mind asking her number"
I keep my mobile phone for photography purposes...the camera is soooo great

Wow! Like you I used to carry my phone for photography, when I went to Camiguin last April this year, I took several pictures and the results were good enough, so I don't need a camera anymore, my cellphone cam will do better... Anyway, I won't bother asking your number too, just kidding, but may I ask it? Hehehehehe, I know it's against the guidelines here, we are friends at fb right?

I'm not much of both... I use the 'Now and then' prepaid plan which gves me up to 6 months before I have to recharge and keep my number. There were times when $30 lasts me almost that long. I just use the mobile to mostly receive texts or calls. And I just text back if I have to reply.

Generally, I realized that I am texting more now than calling with my cell phone. For the most part, with school and/or work, it's not that easy to get in touch with friends as easily anymore. During the times I am busy, they are not busy. And while they are busy, I am not. Texting seems more reasonable to get in touch nowadays since we cannot communicate with each other at the same time. With texting, it's easier to leave messages. While there are occasions where my friends are available during some of the days I am free, it seems like those days are slowly dwindling.

Yeah it's easier to leave messages, but for most part that you need to be precise, or telling a long story, it's better to call though. Thanks for sharing mate.

i am on postpaid line, but i am more of a texter and not a caller. i call people when i do need to get to them fast. but if i have time to spare and if i know i can wait a bit for the person's convenience to answer me back, then i always opt for the texting.

Hello... thanks for sharing that. I once experienced a teen age life before, and my day won't be perfect without texting!

I used to a texter for a bit while back in Highschool and College. but after my schooling days, i just stop texting, unless it's from a family member, or calling unless it's an emergency. am glad i chose to stop it because it was more expensive now a days to spend 20php just to text and text

Hello pal... thanks for sharing that. Before, I spent up to 50 a month for load, yeah... I load twice or thrice a month, but now I got a postpaid sim, it cost me 350 monthly... I decided to take this because I need to contact my family every now and then too.

Both for me.Don't have a hard time typing message but used to call if the message is really urgent.Depends on the message I would rely or send to.
