How do you keep a bandaid on a one year old?

My 16 month old daughter got a blister on her pinky toe from her shoe I think. The blister popped and was bleeding. I put Neosporin on it and tried to put a bandaid on it but she keeps ripping it off. She keeps bumping the thing and making it bleed so I put a sock on her foot for now.

the band aid feels strange that's probably why she keeps ripping it off. try putting shoes and socks on maybe that'll help keep her from pulling it off. Good luck.

Good advice, even just socks will help so she doesn't see it.

LOL I can remember trying to do the same thing I finally just gave up. It was easier to get her to sit down for a little bit rather than leave the bandaid alone. Good luck I hope her little toe gets better.

Thanks! She keeps crying when she looks at it. I dont think it really hurts much ...she just cries when she sees the blood :)

I think Violann has great advice as far as shoes and socks. Sometimes my kids liked the cartoon characters but this one is a bit little for that, but you never know. They left them on because they liked looking at them, haha. I know when I get a cut and need a bandage they always come off, so I end up putting a bit of scotch tape OVER the bandage and it stays on longer. I don't know if this will help or not but it might be worth a try. Plus, it is slippery and harder to come off.
