Send two additional brigades to Afghanistan Really? You mean what Bush said we needed to do? File that under "Duh". Increase the size of the Army and Marine Corps A program which started under Bush. File that under "BS". Increase special operations forces and civil affairs I haven't been able to verify the extent, and value of this supposedly accomplished action. So I don't know. 1. Make military deployments predictable for troops and families 2. End the abuse of supplemental budgets for war Impossible. No one knows if next month the Taliban will completely disband, or mount a huge offensive. Or if war will break out somewhere else requiring us to intervene. The only way he can keep this promise is by refusing to be involved internationally at all. File this under "BS". Make National Guard leader a member of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Well that sure changed the entire country for the better. I really don't know how much value this is, given we are typically not sending national guard units into international war zones. Typically they are used by the states, and should be controlled by the states. Make U.S. military aid to Pakistan conditional on anti-terror efforts It never wasn't. End the use of torture Depends. If they define torture as being all forms of discomfort, then no I'm against that. If they define it as harming people for no reason, then this is good. Allocate Homeland Security funding according to risk Somehow... I keep thinking we should let the people in security, determine where the money should go. But perhaps there is a justification for this. Grant Americans unrestricted rights to visit family and send money to Cuba I agree. We should end all sanctions against Cuba completely. They no longer serve the purpose they were created for. Establish an Energy Partnership for the Americas Which will push bad US policy into the rest of the Americas? Here's a thought. How about we just improve our own policy to create energy? Centralize ethics and lobbying information for voters Yes, because if we centralize where the fraudulent information is, then more people can read the lies than ever before. File that under "BS to spread BS". Seek verifiable reductions in nuclear stockpiles Seek? The Russians have routinely given us false information. Why bother seeking the false information? Stand down nuclear forces to be reduced under the Moscow Treaty Does everyone know how you stand down a nuclear missile? You flip a switch. Know how you ready it again? Flip the switch again. File that under "BS". Organize successful Nonproliferation Treaty (NPT) Review Conference in 2010 So we need a review conference to discuss what? Hasn't CNN alone discovered more than enough information about how the NPT has been a failure, and destined to be so from the start? Appoint a White House Coordinator for Nuclear Security Pointless. Improve relations with Turkey, and its relations with Iraqi Kurds Granted he did try. But I don't know that either of these was actually accomplished. Require Cabinet officials to host Internet town hall meetings Well given that in real town hall meetings, he was told repeatedly by voters that they didn't want him screwing up health care, and he did it anyway... Yippy skippy? More chances to ignore voters? Release presidential records Yeah, because this administration has been so open. Require new hires to sign a form affirming their hiring was not due to political affiliation or contributions. LOL! If anyone believes that people in this administration does not hired with political considerations, you are insanely naive. -------------------------------------------------- I did not get through all ten pages. I got through the first 4 pages, and thought there's enough garbage here to finish. Out of 74 claimed promises, I completely agree with 2. 26 were spending increases on luxury programs we can't afford. 15 of them were just plain B.S. crap. The remaining 32 policy changes actually made things undeniably worse. Add the 32 bad policy choices, with 26 spending bills we can't afford, 58 out of 74 claims, were all negatives. 2 were good, and 15 were lies, which at least the lies didn't make things worse, so we can consider them neutral. That's a horrible track record. Now for those on the left that have been complaining about how the Republicans have been blocking legislation in congress, and can't understand why people like me on the right-wing, think that's awesomely wonderful.... can you see why? When more than half of Obama's "accomplishments" have made the US worse off than it was before... deadlock in government is a HUGE STEP UP!!!

Like I've said over and over...you don't compromise with idiots. You don't compromise principles or the security of America. NEVER. So, if Republicans are NOT doing this, it's a good thing. THAT is the idea behind checks and balances...duh!
