Gender roles aren't pretty what they used to be. Women have gotten the right to vote and made substantial progress toward economic equality. Women are free to hunt their own professions, or stay at home if they choose. Also, it's becoming more publicly suitable for men to stay at home. But does that really reflect what the individual genders want out of life? What can you say guys? Who would rather work or stay at home.

hi!
i'm not entirely sure if gender has a say in it but more likely it's an individual preference whether to stay at home or not and the circumstance they find themselves in.
in the past, it's the women who were tasked (and some chose to) to stay at home to mind the children and create a home for the entire family while the men hunt for jobs and make provisions for them. however in recent years, men started and continue to do an active role at home too and some provide equal time (or almost equal) in child-rearing as well. recent times created job opportunities for both men and women too so even women can have corporate power jobs.
i'm fortunate enough that i could work at home. this would mean that if i'm married with children, i can be a stay-at-home mom and wife yet at the same time be in the active work force as a businesswoman as well. it is a personal choice. perhaps because i have had a taste of employment and working long hours, i experienced having no say on where the company decides to send me to or when to have my vacations and sometimes not even when i get sick but too busy to get the time off.
more and more people choose to stay at home nowadays and work from there. it's practical actually with no cost of transportation, no traffic, can multi-task for family activities, can get time off whenever, become own boss and all those little perks. of course there are pluses and minuses. depending on the circumstance, the pluses can sometimes outweigh the minuses.

hi,
i think it will depend upon the person when they like to stay at home or go outside and work for some money, but for me being a transexual i prefer to go out and work hard to earn money so that i could have money that i can use for buying some things that i need for my self and also to help my family.
