When the "-ber" month had started, people were so busy decorating their houses with silver-gold coated ornaments, wreath, garland, topiary, Christmas trees, red ribbons, artificial gift-wrap boxes, etc. One of our neighbors, she used to showcase her Christmas decors annually, especially the Santa Claus collections. I find it interesting, since the figure are all scattered around the house. I visited her lovely house and took a picture of this. I hope you like it.

Love the picture. This reminds me of some friends who had over 400 Santa's. They got me started decorating each room with different Christmas items. It was so much fun.

Christmas is so much fun. I used to make a lot of ornaments years ago. Both of my sons still have all the ones I made them.

Around here, they are starting to put up some of the Christmas decorations in the stores, but I honestly don't know of anyone that has started to put up their own Christmas decorations. It is just too soon for that in my opinion and in the opinion of most other people around here as well. We still have Halloween and Thanksgiving to go through before we really can begin to start thinking about Christmas. I really did like the Santa Claus picture that you've shared here though.

I think it is so early to have Christmas decorations, but some people here were so excited for this occasion. Though, we haven't pulled out the ornaments or other Christmas decors from storage area. I am looking forward for the Halloween thou.

Well, even by us in Italy, Christmas is a very festive feel. Practically the first holiday that leads to the Christmas spirit, is that of All Saints on November 1. I do not understand why in your country started to give way to the feast of Holy December 25, three months earlier. Ok, I do not find anything wrong with this. Indeed, it is fascinating to see small works like the picture that you have shown. The only thing I wonder is this: Starting so early to talk about Christmas, is there not a risk that over the next three months, your spirit towards the Christmas declines tone?

you know people that are decoarting their house for christmas already? wow! that is very very early! I have heard of people decoarting their house say in November, but never September!!

I usually decorate our house during semestral break which is second week of October. To be able to enjoy more time to our Christmas decors at home and besides we could concentrate on our cooking or any preparation for the Christmas season. Our Christmas decoration includes most importantly the Christmas wreath, Christmas tree, parol or stars hang outside our house with Christmas lights. I have also some collections of Santa Claus of different sizes and forms. Christmas is also the time of gift giving so I make sure I bought some for our godchildren nephews and nieces and for our exchanging gifts which is part of our Christmas celebration.

YIKES! I don't believe in decorating until at the earliest, the last weekend in November! (Of course, since my birthday is at the end of November I don't want it to get mixed up with Christmas.)

I have been told not to visit the Philippines once the Calender month ends with 'ber' as the malls would be too crowded with early christmas shoppers. The spirit of Christmas arrive much too early in this predominantly catholic stronghold. I was there last December and true to their words I nearly lost my way in the midst of an ocean of people .

Wow - I only start with the Christmas decorations on the last "-ber" month - meaning December. The stores out here are already displaying their Christmas stuff - and I don't want a Christmas burn out too early . . . we have Halloween and Thanksgiving still yet to go! That's cute about your neighbor's Santa Claus collection. She must be so proud of them - and how fun to be able to look at all of them when you visit!

I know I will be starting my crafts at the end of the month as soon as I get my unpacking done. The day after Thanksgiving will be decorating my new house for Christmas. I love the idea of having my own place so I can decorate it anyway I want to. I love santa as well and making Christmas ornaments.

That is a nice decoration in the picture. I myself love seeing other people's decorations. Although it is not what I do, I have no problem with people who want to decorate "when the '-ber' month" starts. Like nature, it makes life much more beautiful.

I like Christmas and especially its traditions. Always brings a glow to the gloomy, dreary atmosphere in Winter. However, I don't really decorate much because it's both tiring and a tiny bit difficult to do on my own. But my neighbor really spruces up the place when it's holiday season.
