These past few days, I can feel a slight pain on my left eye and I just thought of it as a result of lack of sleep and working till midnight and waking up very early in the morning. I am already 39 years old and I am proud to say that until this time, I am not yet using reading glasses or any other kind of eyeglasses. I remember my officemates in my previous job who are much younger than I am but they are already obliged to wear eyeglasses and they told me that they cannot anymore read at a distance of 4 meters and above. Several months ago, I suffered from pain on some part of my head. I immediately went to an eye specialist for a check-up. I thought the pain is associated with my eyes and perhaps I need to wear eyeglasses. The doctor made several tests and he told me afterwards that there is no problem with my eyes. He also told me that I can still go on without eyeglasses for at least five years and the pain I felt

maybe you should rest your eyes for sometimes. Avoid having cold shower at night because some says it can cause eye damage because of the cold temperature. Better avoid stressing your eyes. try to relax for a while and have enough sleep.

It could just be from straining, the longer you lkook at a computer screen. I find if Im tired already them stare at the computer. I use to get a sharp pain in my eye as well, when I was really tired or exhausted.

Every so often look away from the computer, or make the front bigger. I make mine real big so Im not straining to read which helps a lot.

Sometimes when migraines attack, only one side of the head is affected and together with it is the eye on that side. You will feel a dull, throbbing pain accompanied with that puncturing pain on the head. I have these symptoms whenever I get migraines which I had since my College days.

Hi jenny. I shall take care of my eyes by not taking bath immediately after a day's work. Hope I won't be experiencing this pain anymore. Thank you for sharing.

That could be possibly the reason for your painful eyes. Strained eyes need rest before you ever think of washing your face. Keep safe!
