The film "innocence of Muslims" and its real purpose!

Recently some of religious bigots made the film "innocence of Muslims" with the intention to make trouble because the film makers know the Muslim traditional reaction when the prophet Muhammad is insulted, some people tend to think that religious bigotry is the reason behind making such a film, but I think that purpose of the film is all political, or rather a political agenda used religious bigotry for its own purpose!! The president Obama tries to make good connections with the Muslim world, and this is very good thing considering that fact that Muslims are the only people beside Christians that believe in Jesus Christ, his virgin birth, and his miracles, even the Holy Quran mentions more Miracles attributed to Jesus that are not included in the Bible, and this should be a matter of unity not division. some people don't like the peaceful attitude of the president Obama towards the Muslim world, and they want another Bush (another Republican) in the white house instead of the president Obama, they want a Republican to serve their divide and rule policy. as I said, the film makers know the Muslim traditional reaction and they wanted the Muslim world to be up in arms against Americans, to make the notion that Americans faces violent Muslims and Obama's peaceful attitude is not the required now, and America want a republican in the white house!!! which is certainly not true and serve only the divide and rule policy. The purpose of that film is political, and every on will understand this when reading that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu warned on Sunday that Iran would reach the brink of being able to build a nuclear bomb in just six or seven months! http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/49058039/#.UFfX7Zcer4Z Netanyahu showed no signs of backing off from his pressure campaign and equated the danger of a nuclear-armed Iran with the Islamist fury that fueled attacks on U.S. embassies across the Muslim world last week. "It's the same fanaticism that you see storming your embassies today. You want these fanatics to have nuclear weapons?" Netanyahu asked in the NBC interview, in a clear emotional appeal to Americans still reeling from the angry protests sparked by a film that mocked the Prophet Mohammad. Did you remember when they accused Iraq of having weapons of mass destruction, then there was a war on Iraq then we discovered that there is no weapons of mass destruction in Iraq. now, Do you understand the purpose of the film and Who are behind it?? What are your Thoughts?

The US Government is quiet because we have freedom of speech and separation of church and state which I love these laws, they are the rightful laws. The prophet Mohammed is a pedophile and he killed people, what God would send a prophet to kill his own human beings? and plus these Muslims just wanted to find a reason to be mad. they been killing each other every year in every country, name one successful Muslim country. when their not killing non-believers they are killing each other shiite and sunni.

my brother, you didn`t know anything about Mohammad, our prophet.. it`s my time to be quiet.. God isn`t sleeping.. We know that many people tend to make provocation about our religion, our Holy Quran and our Prophet.... They try to make the respond of moslem uncontrolled and they take it as their reason that islam is extremist and like violence.. How come the people have a dirty trick and mind like that??

It breaks my heart when I see how useless I am against this kind of diatribe. People want to rage rather than discuss. They want to blame. They want to hurt. They want to kill. In one article I read the Holy Prophet was likened to a pedophile - all by someone who is NOT Muslim, not educated, not learned and uncouth. You must not ask why when you put your hand into a hornet's nest you get bitten. Muslims who are God-loving act fairly to others; they listen and try to do God's Will. In every group or nation there are those who purposely stir up trouble to serve their own needs and denigrate a faith. Muslims who love God do not cause these kinds of disturbances; they know the consequences. And loving God does not mean you are allowed to blow up communities and kill people - EVEN IF YOU ARE MUSLIM, which I am. Those are not Muslims; they are dwellers of hell.

"the film makers know the Muslim traditional reaction and they wanted the Muslim world to be up in arms against Americans, to make the notion that Americans faces violent Muslims" So why not prove them wrong by acting like adults and not storming embassies, throwing grenades, burning flags and marching in the streets shouting "Behead all those who insult the prophet"? Surely, a peaceful people with only good intentions and a good and peaceful religion could decide not to react violently? That would fool them all, right? If Muslims just didn't react with violence? Why not try that?

I see you have a point here which must be thoroughly examined. There is no doubt some people will cross any limit to achieve their political motives. The Muslims are also required to react in a manner that does not make their religion look bad. In particular the 4 US citizens killed in Libya can not be justified.

I understand why the people who made the movie did what they did, I come from a war torn country where over 2 million people have been killed by Muslims, simply because we did not want to worship their religion so they tried to wipe everyone out killing as many people as they can. They also implemented Sharia Law over the country so that the Christians and non-Muslims will have to pay taxes to the Government and the Churches will have to pay taxes as well.

No, I'm from Sudan, and people are also killed based on race, and they call themselves Arab even though they are not Arab even in the Government, and not everybody wants Sharia Law. Not everybody is a Muslim and nobody wants to live under Muslim laws and rules for governing a country.

what`s wrong with Sharia Law?? the taxes is included for any people without seeing the race and religion taxes is important for paying the budget for the country.. so why you must connect with the sharia law about taxes??

Well of course it is political that is blindingly obvious. The makers know that some Muslims can easily be stirred up by such nonsense. A Muslim leader who did not want to cause trouble could tell their followers that the prophet is far to strong to be affected by such pathetic attempts to cause trouble and to ignore it. That would negate the efforts of the film makers but of course some Muslim leaders do not wish to do that again for political reasons

It seems to me that we are entering an age of lawlessness. Those bent on making trouble can stir it up so easily now with the networks available. I agree that Muslim leaders should tell their followers that they do not need to take such fanatical efforts to defend their beliefs, that would make them real leaders then.

No we are not entering an age of lawlessness. Things are in general terms no different to what they have always been. It is true with modern communications we hear far more about what is going on in the world but it always gone on. If you read the bible say numbers you will find that there are accounts of appalling slaughter not only of men but women and children. IN fact had Moses been alive today he would be on trial for crimes against humanity

I am glad someone wrote on this topic. I am Muslim and come from a peaceful city in Cape Town. Everyone knows what films mocking the Prophet will do. They purposely stir up things because they know how the Muslims will react. It puts Islam in an unfavorable light and causes hate. God says clearly that the three Abrahamic religions are 'the people of the Book'. Why cause hatred by making films like this? Why separate people into groups and mock them? Why not make a film that promotes humanity? There's not enough money in that, not enough blood, and they perpetrate atrocities in the name of God and in the mistaken belief that they are the owners of the world.

" Everyone knows what films mocking the Prophet will do. They purposely stir up things because they know how the Muslims will react. It puts Islam in an unfavorable light and causes hate." Isn't the problem how Muslims will react? You know, if the Muslims didn't want people to think they are violent, they could just stop being violent. If they didn't rush to the streets to burn things, bomb things, threaten people, etc., people wouldn't think they were violent. It's like blaming the mother of a toddler for saying "No" when the toddler has a temper tantrum.

My take on things. There are people with bad motives that want to foment hate and trouble everywhere and in every religion. This is the reality of the world. I personally will pursue the ways of peace and would not make such a movie nor have any part in it. As-Salamu Alaykum!

It's so sad that political figures could be behind this movie. No respect at all to the religion. Is it the truth? We don't know but to mock something or someone that is respected by a lot of people and a nation is a shame to make a political statement and abuse that authority.

It appears that most of the people demonstrating did not even know about the film. It appears to be that this is not over the film, but for the hate towards the USA. Some say they attached to for wanting the release of some of the Al Quida prisoners we were holding. Besides, these countries need to get smarter. A person, even a Muslim, could make a film, post it on youtube, make it look like it was made by a Christian, and this would start an up rise like we saw the other day. And isn't it funny that in was on 9/11 that this crap started. And the are going against Obama, who was supposed to be the Ally to this Islamic nations. There is a lot more to it than our leaders are lying and telling us.
