The controversial pictures of Kate Middleton in which she was topless, published on a french magazine named closer, is getting much attention these days. I have also a opinion that media should not interfere with the personal life of any people. Royal family of Britain was really shocked by this picture incident.

Kate Middleton is suing the magazine. The French law is one of the strongest in the world to protect privacy, but there is a problem here : the maximum fee is 15000 Euros, and it is perhaps not even the price paid for the photos, so the profits are worth the sentence, and the law not really efficient for celebrities...

Maybe not millions but certainly more than the fine, and it is the reason why this magazine has published these photos. It has often been sued by various celebrities and pays every time... The duchess of Cambridge tries both civil and criminal laws, but she has no chance to win a criminal trial here : they were not in a bedroom, and there is no crime of lese-majesty in a republic. An Italian magazine publishes other photos this week : I think that the couple should have been a bit more careful.

What??? The maximum fine is only 15000 Euros? No wonder this magazine is super daring to publish the Duchess of Cambridge's topless pictures. I am sure those photos will generate the magazine company millions of dollars...tsk tsk tsk they, Prince William and Kate should be more careful when they're in the open next time. After Diana...I wonder, why are they so slow to learn???

I don't think that anybody, no matter who they are or how much money they have, should have to go through the things that she has been going through over the past couple of days. It is not fair, and she should be able to do whatever she likes in her own private time without having to worry about whether or not the photos of her doing so are going to end up on the internet or in the media for the whole world to see. Those who have done it should be arrested and not allowed to work in this industry again, because everybody has the right to a private life and her privacy has been well and truly invaded.

I can't believe the queen actually would do that considering she is in a royal family, shouldn't she think about this and behave more like a queen?

hi irit, I saw the photos but since she is a royalty she can't go naked? I mean she is also a human and there are things she want to do also At least she was not seen being topless with some other guy

It is sad that it happened because they were on holiday in what they thought was a place safe from the media. However, the terrace was open, there was no wall around it and it could be seen from the road. They know exactly what the media are like, and I find it hard to believe that they didn't think about people being able to take pictures from the road. In an ideal world it wouldn't happen, but unfortunately it does.

Never have seen that picture. and yes you are right that the media should not interfere with the personal life of those people we look up to but the word itself "celebrity" political or showbiz must be extra careful in public places. They should watch their moves, appearance and simply even breathing because paparazzi is always ready to take a shot and not only paparazzi but also the people around them. This must be a great lesson for every high profile individual... Have a nice day!!!
