and i have not traveled to anywhere yet. this makes me kind of depressed because one of my goals this year 2012 would have to travel to another local place that I have not been to or to another country. I am always scouring for promo fares but it seems that all are still expensive for me or is it because my savings are still low. can you feel me mylotters?

If you have no budget, then you can just travel to the nearest tourist spots in your area. I am in Laguna and we just went to Cavite last summer because we had no money. It's just a two vehicle trip so it doesn't cost much.

hi there autumn dreamer. yes that is a good idea to travel to the nearest tourist spot. I am here in Cebu and we do have a lot of tourist spots here. maybe I can do a checklist on the nearest tourist spots here so that maybe I can go there and enjoy sight seeing.

You still have a few months left. Who knows? You may find some really great deal to take advantage of before the year is out. Where I am, it is pretty easy to get to places that I have not been before. I can hop into the car and, within a few hours or less, be in a town or city that I haven't visited before. Actually, I have an entire state just a few hours away that I have never visited--plenty to explore there.

hi there wilson! yes I do still have a few months still but then I dont have the funds to do travelling. so I am putting it all next year. and I do think that there are places near me that I have not yet gone to so I will definitely make a plan and also a budget fit for that, thank you

It is never too late to start traveling. You still have October, November and December 2012 left to do a trip in one of those. Alternatively you could book a trip for 2013 and then you have more time to save up and plan your trip. If you put away savings every week they soon add up. You could read about traveling on a shoestring budget. Good luck. You might be able to get a zero percent credit card possibly. Then after your trip you can pay the money off. I visited South America in March and April 2012. I traveled with my disabled son and my daughter. We went to Argentina, Chile, Brazil and Uruguay. In 2013 we hope to travel around Easton Europe by train.

wow! you are now my idol for travelling a lot of countries this year. maybe I can also do that in the future. I am trying to apply for a credit card and maybe I can get a zero percent interest so that maybe next year I can already go abroad. thank you for the tips maxi!

I cannot believe how quickly this year has gone by, because it honestly doesn't seem like five minutes since the beginning of the year and since I was making plans for the things that I was hoping to be able to do during the course of the year. I have done a lot of the things that I had planned to, including graduating from University and losing a fair amount of weight and attending the London Olympics, but there are still plenty of other things that I would have liked to have done but haven't had the chance to do just yet. I was hoping that I would have been able to get together enough money for a deposit on a house, but I haven't quite managed to do that yet. I should find that I am able to do that next year though, so it isn't really something that I am worried about.

hi there Gemmar! i think that you already did a lot there and kudos to you. Every year I do make a bucketlist of things to do for the year. in my list i only have done 2 out of 7 but then I am asking the Lord to take care of me so that I can do the other 5 things maybe in the year to come

I used to be in your shoes, man. Up until like 3 years ago, I can only fly domestically and always for business to visit our branches in Cebu and Davao, never for vacation or recreation. Then I went to work abroad and with God's help was able to save some money for travelling. Then I got married and now that we're a two-earning family we also put travel and vacation in our budget. And that's how our travels formally started. Don't worry, I can see that you're saving some of your money for it. It will happen in the right time. It will also come true. Besides, there's always next year for us. Good luck!

Yes, you're right, starting with the title of your discussion, in fact in less than four months, also this 2012 will be gone. In my case I have to say that it was not a year of positivity. The work always missing, the family situation social and economic mine, not the best, and more .. But one thing I want to emphasize the positive. I have to say that I have traveled a lot in this 2012. Thanks to my friend Angelo (often mentioned in my threads), I was traveling in various places. The best experience, however, is the pilgrimage to Lourdes, which we did last June. I would like, if possible, repeat the experience even in 2013.
