I have it on one hard drive but my cd neither does my 3 1/2 floppy drive. So I am going to buy it if I can find it. I need it to put on the hard drives I have so I can put xp on them. This is an upgrade of xp so it won't go onto a drive without having 98 on it already. Thanks in advance for all your help.

Just copy the important files in your hard disk and go for Windows 7.

I got a feeling that his computer doesn't meet the minimal system requirement that windows 7 need.

If you have it on one drive, you don't need another one, all you need is DOS, because windows 98 isn't like XP where you boot it on cd, windows 98 is installed from DOS console by typing setup.exe. you could try boot disk from here: http://www.bootdisk.com/bootdisk.htm

Oh and if you're willing to spend some money to buy Operating System, you might want to just buy XP instead of Win98, that way you don't have to work that hard to get XP running on your computer.

hi free_man, I didn't understand your query properly. But I suggest you get in touch with any of the online computer service providers. They can easily provide some solution for your problem by connecting to your computer remotely.

I suspect that your XP upgrade CD has a single id code with it, you're only supposed to use it on the one computer, seems a lot of trouble to go to just to create one XP machine.
