I know there are plenty of free online coaching, e-course, internet tutorials, available nowadays. However, sometimes it's best to pay in order to learn from the best. So my question is how much are you willing to pay for an online lesson that you know for sure will help you get hired online. For example, Virtual Assistant Lessons, internet marketing, blogging (in dollars) What is your maximum budget that you are willing to spend for this type of education? Looking forward for your responses.. thanks :)

Hi Kay, I agree I've also experience it before and even bought a bunch of useless ebooks.. Anyway, I believe that if someone is truly serious in learning, he/can she can find ways to get quality but free education on the internet. Thanks for sharing :)

Is it is difficult to understand things on the internet before especially those will make you earn money online. But nowadays , free online courses are available. You could also try joining forums like (http://onlinejobsphilippines.com/forum/index.php) where tips are shared for free...

I am directly not willing to enroll and pay for an online education. First and foremost, it is not a good stand. Meaning, a person who wants to learn should make a good effort to study things personally and not just having it online.

Hi Entrep, there are really good sites that offer great learning tools/methods, tutorials, etc. and some can only be found online and not anywhere else. Thing is most people are not even aware that these exists. Bottomline, what I really want to know is, if you ever want to learn online and need pay for it, how much are you willing to pay? Sorry I can't edit my original post :(

It is a great advantage to learn without paying at all with online education. :) But, if it's a certificate course, well a payment is acceptable for around P800-P2,000 only.

I would spend less than $10 for e-tutorials or e-courses. For me it's not that practical to spend much money for e-tutorials since there are many schools also out there offering same learning for online services in a more effective way than online courses or tutorials.

Thanks for sharing jherane :) Don't you think people that spend money for education are the ones who are really serious to learn? I'm just echoing my friend's dilemma, he's an online VA coach and from his experience (after giving both free and paid mentoring online classes), around 90% of those that signed-up for the free course did not finish it the course and around 90% of those that enrolled in the paid course did finish the lessons, completed the assignments, and submit requirements on time. :)

To be honest, I am not really a fan of learning online. I am admittedly a learner that needs direct and human interaction to get to the core of learning. I am not willing to spend a single centavo for online learning.. Unless the teacher is right beside me.. Then I'd be willing to pay even a university tuition fee rate for that matter. :)

Yes, not all people are willing to learn, much more, spend to learn online. And it's understandable to choose the best way for you to effectively learn whatever it is that you need to learn. Thanks for your input and welcome to Mylot :)

They say that best things in life are free but for me , to be successful in life sometimes you need to sacrifice something. Paid online education can help you improve your skills and knowledge.

True, so how much are you willing to spend for online education? Let's say a 1-month online course on internet marketing?

As much as I wanted to my financial situation will make it impossible for me to do so. I would be very frank that I can not support my desire to avail of this lessons with pay even if assures me that I will get hired online for at the moment I am spending so much for the medical maintenance of my comatose husband, this is my priority. So the most that I can do is to be very patient and industrious on doing the research on websites that offers free lessons in order to avail the free knowledge and somehow land on a job online and perhaps if already earn so much only then for sure I would be able to pay for these lessons.

I understand your situation as I'm a self-taught online worker and got my so called internet skills from free online courses and research though I have to admit that it took me a while, as in almost a year, before I develop the confidence to finally offer my services to others. :) Thanks for sharing..

The main problem is how do you really know if they are legit and accredited to where it is valid when out there applying for another job. Since there are so many scams out there anymore even paying for something. It is sad to think there are so many scams out there anymore so doing your homework before investing any money is your best bet always.

If I'm going to pay something for education, I'd rather have it offline. I want someone personally teaching me so that when I have questions And things I want to clarify I can understand it better. The person can explain it to me easily without a barrier of some sort.

I was like that before even when it comes to communication, I'd rather see and talk to my friends offline, but thanks to skype and other internet innovations that makes communicating with my friends more like I'm with them in real life and these technologies also make it easier to teach and learn online. Thanks for sharing :)

It really depends on the course and the situation. If that course is also being offered in a neighborhood or near my place, I woukd rather go to that structured school.I'm willing to pay an online tutorial maybe a hundred but not double that. I would go for installment mode of payment. I would never pay in full amount. If it worth the price, I would try my very best to pay my tuition. and I beleive that quality education does not always entail an expensive amount of money.. Thanks

I think so too... and will not also opt to pay in full except in cases when they offer big discounts and the school/teacher have a very good reputation. Thanks for sharing

As you mentioned, there are plenty of free options to learn things. Besides looking for online resources, I can just go my local library to borrow books are just stop by my local bookstore to find useful books. If you are trying get some online work, I would just spend your time reading tutorials and books and just keep practicing various things. For instance, learning to program in languages like PHP and Javascript might be useful for an online position as a web designer. And you can learn them by reading books and other types of resources on your own time. Making money online is not straight forward and takes some time. There are people who are employed as virtual assistants, internet marketers, and bloggers without taking online classes or anything type of education specifically towards those positions. I would not spend on online education for online positions because I can learn by myself with various resources already available to me.

Hi Otanetix, I agree that it's either you invest time or money or both in order to learn new skills. I forgot to mention that I'm talking about paid online mentors/coaches. As from my other interviews and studies, statistics show that those who learn on their own ended up learning the "process" a lot longer and have experienced more "trial and error" and time is money too right? Thanks for sharing :)

if this online education will give you the convenience, knowledge much needed at the comfort of your home, then why not. As to the price, we need some cost analysis here, compare tuition fees, miscellaneous expenses that you will likely to incur if you actually go to the school, then add a little mark up for the comfort plus the quality, then i would be more willing to pay that price.

I agree! learning online is convenient especially for disabled persons or other people that don't have the time and means to attend conventional schools. Thanks for your response :)

On-line learning - I'm not really into it. I'm paying no single cent for it. I'm not going to need other learning experience, anyway. And if in case i will really have to, I will not going to have online.

Hi thelopautheory :)... seems that most people prefer to learn "offline" especially if they have to pay for it, thanks for sharing your thoughts on this :)
