Did friendship lose all their past popularity?

I now wondering what happened to friendster. This used to be my most favorite site when it comes to social networking with friends online, but now I never visit the site again after the site made a major change with the site. Does anyone know how many active members friendster still have or why they had that big change which I felt only loses maybe millions of users from the site?

I tried opening Friendster last time but it turns out that they are now more like a gaming site. I believe that it's not running anymore then? I can't even access my old account. It does not really matter anyway since they have things such as Twitter and Facebook, which are better anyway. But I am worried that Facebook is heading the same way as Friendster, seeing that it is full of spammers and online shops. Just my opinion though ;)

Well anything is possible, andreas. For now that I see them number 1 in Alexa ranking what you said may be possible several years from now if ever they would end up like Friendster which I don't think they would. This is also only my personal opinion. Anyway, congratulations for having graduated somewhere and for having such an attractive girlfriend :D

Well maybe she's the lucky one because you know everything is not only about looks :)
So maybe you could start saying she is so happy you chose her :D

Yeah, hopefully not. Many of my friends now do not use their facebook accounts anymore, due to the reasons I mentioned earlier, but I know that there are still so many people out there using it. Thank you very much. I am very grateful to have her, some of my friends often make fun of me by saying that she;s too good for me. I do think that's partially true though, which makes me even happier that she chose me ;)

Friendster is the original and it always will be. It's just that Facebook is more popular due to its current features. I wish that someday friendster will be able to make a comeback. who knows right? Goodluck to them.

I wish so too, BigMoney. I am one of those who used to love the old features of Friendster including the overall looks, the posting of pictures and videos and of course my many existing and active friends there already who often send me new and interesting posts. I don't understand the big change they made which loses most of the members. I could imagine only very young gamers who actively go there now.

I have deactivated my Friendster account.
The biggest reason was personal. The second reason was because I have no time to open it anyway. Besides, most of my friends on Friendster also have Facebook account, so I didn't feel bad closing it.

I just recognized in my title instead of using Friendster i used the word friendship..haha. Yes, in my case I haven't closed it yet but I never used them again because I don't find any use with it anymore. But I remember in the past I used it more than Facebook so the site really made a bad move somewhere. I used to enjoy posting videos there and exchanging messages with my many friends there, so when they changed it to the new one I can't find any more pleasure being in the site, so I let go.
