This morning we texted our laboratory aide to make a leave form because he was absent for two days already. Her wife just gave birth and he don't have anyone to watch over them. So he came and made a leave form. He said, her wife needs blood transfusion because she lost much blood during the birth delivery. He face looked so sad and we tried to cheer him up but he won't smile. I then asked my colleagues to collect money from each of us to help him with the expenses. He left and we gathered money then asked him to come back. When we handed the to him, he cry. Yes, he cried his heart out. I know he is thinking too much about her wife condition, the baby and the expenses. I told him, as long as the baby is okay, her wife can do it and help her self recover. I almost cry because I pity him. I am very lucky that we don't have to go through like this when I gave birth with my son. I am praying her wife will recover fast and they can go home already. I will ask my husband to visit them after work and see what is their situation.

Hopefully his wife will recover soon :) That was a very good action you did back there, and this small act often means a lot to people who are having serious problems. I did once, when my father got into an accident and the way my friends came to see me and comfort me, maybe it was a small act by them, but I felt so grateful back then. It is always nice to know that someone do care about us after all. :)

What a hard situation for him and for his wife. It must be so scary. I hope she is okay and recovers easily.

That was really a nice gesture you did for your office mate. I am sure I would cry as much if others will help me that way, too. We should be thankful for having comfortable lives for we do not experience such situations. We must learn to extend our help to those people who are in need.

That's true. That is why I don't think twice in helping him. I know it's hard when everyone relies on him. Thank God they just came out from the hospital yesterday afternoon. I will try to visit them at their home and it's just near at our our workplace. Thank you for the response.

It is good that there still people who cares about others even if it is not their family. It is good to know that there are people like you shylade. I know that God will never forget to bless people like you who are kindhearted.
I know that he is in a very hard situation at the moment and I pray that her wife's condition would be well the soonest. It is a very good decision that you ask your husband to visit them because they really need moral support at this very hard situation. If I were in your situation, I would definitely do the same. I hope everything would be okay by now.

There really are still good samaritans who are always willing to help others in need, and glad you are one of them! I am wishing for your colleague's wife to get better soon, let us all include them in our prayers.
