New MyLot user: Is this for real??

I'm a new myLot user, I signed up barely 24 hours ago, made a few comments and I see I already earned myself $0.08. It's a small amount for now, sure, but I just have to ask, cos when it's THIS easy to earn money on the 'net, then it's usually too good to be true: IS this for real? I'm not just going to accumulate my earnings until it reaches a number I'm going to be happy with when suddenly 'POOF'! I'm going to find I can't claim it or it'll be gone? FYI, I'm just wondering, because I rather like this site, there's actually lots of topics I'm interested in and I can discuss with like-minded people. Thank you for anyone who responses whether to assure or to warn or whatever :)

I am glad that you're happy with your earning. Some other new people were just complaining about how small the earning was, and blah blah.
I think it doesn't matter. Because myLot is always paying, you can have fun messing around while earning :p, and you'll be able to know some new things.

Well, you have to admit that the money IS a attractive incentive to stay, so.... haha :D Anyway, I'm finding lots of people willing to talk and just have fun doing it, no kidding, as well as a diverse topic of discussion I'm actually interested in pursuing :) Hey, btw, how do I make my smileys like yours?? Lol, thanks :P

MyLot is one of the most reliable sites around. They pay on time, every time and have done so for the last 6 years. Do you think so many people would have stuck around that long if they didn't?
While the amount you earn here is never spectacular, there are quite a few who get paid every month - many more, of course, who take longer to reach payout. Those who have been here longest find that it is the enjoyment and social interaction they get from the site because of what they put into it that is really important. The earnings are just a nice little bonus!
Please read the Guidelines carefully and go through the FAQs, too. Remember that you will only earn for what YOU type - others earn for what THEY type - and that quality participation in discussions is what counts. So many people think that if they start any number of discussions, they will earn plenty but, because they never come back to answer the people who respond, they are often disappointed!

It helps that a long time user like you points out what to look for, as well as giving advise. Thank you, I appreciate it. I admit that the earnings is a very good draw, but the real reason I usually stay at any forum/blogs is because of the social interaction, it makes it fun and enjoyable. I hope to stay on here and make new friends :)

It is not a scam and I can assure one of the best sites for discussions etc. When I joined it had less than one lakh members some five years ago and now the figure shows (as on date) 246,055 (means more than double). You could evaluate its success by ever increasing number of members here.

Thank you :) This is actually one of the first discussions I started because I wanted to make sure it's not a scam, but so far everything's looking great. Plus, I'm already enjoying it here as I mentioned in another discussion, so I guess my time here is being spent in a good way :) It's all good!

No kidding, you barely signed up for 24 hours ago, you already make $0.08, you are doing good and seem like having a good start. I hardly make so much when i first signed up. The average amount i earned is only 2-3 cents daily for several week. I am sure it is for REAL as far as Mylot is concerned, you are going to reach your pay out soon if you keep up your good work consistenly here in the days ahead of you, nothing need to worry about so long as you keep posting and follow the rule.

Well, it's been several days now already, and truth be told, I'm already earning more here than in the 3 weeks I'm on another blogging site, lol, so yes, I guess this is good??!! In comparison, of cos, but thank you for the encouragement :) I think it's because I immediately jump into many discussions I'm actually interested in. It's no hardship, posting about things you already want to talk about, plus the mature level of discussions with fellow myLotters is quite stimulating, imo ;) I dunno about reaching my payout soon, since this is only my first week, but I'll try, haha :D Happy myLotting to you too :)

Yep, it's true. I've been here a while and made payout a few times. It all depends on how much you participate. Welcome to the site and Please follow the instructions in the email myLot sent you when you joined. That way you won't be in any difficulties in deciding what to post and what not to post.
Also, though it's not in the guidelines, you will want to wait a bit before you award best response. Wait until you see what everyone has to say and then choose. Again, welcome.

Thanks for sharing and helping. I think I can participate regularly, no skin off my nose, plus it's fun to do so, and yay for making new friends :) So far I have no problems following the discussions, aside from going through the literally huge archive to find topics which interest me, lol! But it's all good :)

Welcome Lynnes ,I remember when i just join I had the same feeling like you , I was wondering why I didnt start using my account years ago . I have seen positive review on this site even on yahoo before I join . They been around for quit some time dont think they going anywhere at least not any time soon .

Hello, and thank you for the welcome :) I actually didn't know about this site until I was referred by one of our friends here. I have to admit, from past experiences, the earnings did nothing to make me want to stay because even if it's true, i would not want to be on a site where there's barely any warm interaction and the posters are rude and won't accept that others might have different opinions from them. So I lurked a bit until I was sure that this is where I wanted to be. And only then did I wonder about the earnings, which in my opinion, is quite decent, so I can't complain :D Oh, and I hope myLot is here for a long time too ;)
