It was on the news last night and it happened in my town. A lady that babysits kids from her home waited until all 7 kids were sleeping and then left the house. They were all ages 1-5. She left the home to go get mcdonalds. The neighbor watches this lady every day to see if someone is always there with these kids and she called the police when she noticed nobody was home supervising all the kids.
When the cops arrived the lady wasn't home yet so she came home to cops in her driveway. She was told to hand over her license and was revoked. There is other charges pending against this lady. I feel bad for the parents of these kids because now that have to find another daycare provider and it's not easy anymore to find one. But I know this lady will not be watching kids anymore, i'm not sure if she has any of her own but she's going to have a difficult life from now on.
What in the worlds mind was she thinking, all just for Mcdonalds come on really? What would you do if you were in this situation and your kids were supposed to be watched by this person? I'm sure all those parents are going to be suing her for sure. This world is nuts!

That just goes to show you that having a license saying you can by law watch children doesn't really mean that you are qualified to watch children. My Mom never let anyone but family or close friends watch us when we were little. She never trusted anyone else with her children. Now my sister is grown & has children of her own & she is the same way. I've watched my niece & nephews in the past & never, NEVER would I even dream of leaving them alone & unsupervised for ANY reason whatsoever. Anything could happen. This woman deserves to have her license taken away. She is an idiot & I hope & pray that she never, EVER gets her license back!!

This is what she was charged with.
Charges include 14 counts of endangering the welfare of a child, two counts of misrepresentation by a child care provider and one count of false writen statement. Sick is accused of leaving seven children between the ages of 7 months and 3 ½ years unattended on two occasions while she drove to a local restaurant.
She is also accused of only acknowledging the presence of five children when first inspected, but authorities later learned there were two other children in her care. According to licensing information at the state Office of Child and Family Services website, Sick's license allows her to care for up to six children between ages 6 months and 12 years, plus two other school-age children.

It is very obvious that the lady does not care at all to whatever might happen to these kids and all that she is after is the amount that she will earn from putting these kids under her care.
Good thing that there was a neighbor who was caring enough to have it reported to the police. The lady does not know what danger these kids could get into.

Wow what a terrible sitter. I feel bad for the parents because if I was them I would be so scared I had left my kids with her. I am very choosy who I let watch my kids. The parents are better off now they will be safer to find someone else to watch their kids who will actually watch them and not leave them to go to mcdonalds. Anything could have happened to those kids who were left unsupervised. I am glad she lost her license. I am also really glad the neighbor was watching her and reported this.

It's a good thing a neighbor kept watch, who knows what might have happened with the kids not being supervised. I would definitely want to know if something like this happened where my child would be for daycare. Fortunately that's not something I have to concern myself with anymore since my son is grown.

The woman who left her 7 kids at home and went to McDonalds surely has something going on with her. No responsible person would kids on their own. What if there was a fire? Or worse, a break-in? It is so sad to read about these irresponsible parents and the court should have no mercy for her. I hope she is charged and never works in this kind of job again. I shudder to think of all the bad things that could have happened to those kids. Bravo to the lady who reported it.

That is just terrible!! Makes you wonder what she was doing to the children when she was there if she would leave them sleeping while she went to McDonalds! If I were a parent of any of these children I would be livid!! I know in the town we live in there was a couple that put their children in a dog kennel because the children weren't minding. Some people shouldn't be able to have children or take care of them if they can't act irresponsively. I hope that they do sue her, that would be willingly endangering their lives by not having adult supervision. It's child abuse/neglect no matter how you look at it.

Ahm she could have called McDonald's and asked them to deliver her food instead? What was she thinking leaving all of those kids behind? It's a good thing nothing bad happened to the kids. It's good her license got revoked. She should never be left with any kid of any age ever again.

That was so sick, she can always call for delivery service. The neighbor was a good person, they lucky to have people like that. I've never put my kids on a day care because I don't trust somebody else to take care of my kids.
