Are you proud to be a citizen of your country?

I know many people in my country itself who hate being here and talk about being in US and all. I totally hate that sort of talks . We should be satisfied and proud with what we have rather than dreaming of greater things.
India is my country and I am personally very proud to be an Indian. No country has culture,history and heritage like my country. Its just the present times because of some selfish politicians that my country is in the backside now . I am sure India will again be renown for good things in the future. I will never leave my country, it has my ancestral blood, this is where I belong!
What about you guys? Where do you live and are you proud to be a citizen of your country?

I also live in Indonesia and i can say i proud with where i am now. Because i don't know if i move to other country, will my life be this good like in Indonesia ..?
But sometime i just wondering to live in Seoul or another bigger city than mine now because life in a small city like this makes me can't attend the live concert of my favorite artist :(

ideally yes,who would not want to be proud,even though its corrupt and rotten at the backstage,we take pride in savoring our culture and ethical ways of country anytime

Yes, I am very much proud to be a citizen of my country, India as much as I am proud to be a child of my parents. I may criticize the role of our political leaders but can never criticize my country. I love my country, India very much.

I'm living in Singapore. I'm glad to be part of Singapore because my country has nurtured me into a better person - getting chances to explore to different countries and gaining experience through interaction with people from different countries, thus helping me to widen for my personal development.

No matter how poor and corrupt my country's government officials were, I will never leave this country. Though I'm very much disappointing on how the government runs our country, I should not abandon it for good. I always believed that in every thing we do, we must look back to our roots and give it importance so that we will become a success in the future. If no one will loved his/her country, then who else will do?

I am proud where I am.Philippines is wonderful.In fact, lots of foreigners from all over the world always go here for a vacation because we are very rich in eye catching views and lovely natures.Although, sometimes you have heard nasty things about our country, it will not lessen my appreciation to my country.

i think most people see the good and the bad about their country, their people, their government and their culture and they're just frustrated that things aren't improving. i notice that those who leave tend to keep looking back, but sadly start sounding self-righteous. i wish those who stay stop complaining and just keep doing what they can and not give up. if those who leave still care, i wish they either help where they can or just shut up.

Being an American citizen is amazing but I thing that because I was born here if I was born in France or Canada or wherwe get else I'm sure I would be just as proud to live there as I am to live here, I agree that we would just stick with what we have and enjoy it!!
