Hi guys, I was just thinking if I ever can have 30 responses for a discussion in a day and yes I could not make it 30 but I am very close to it and I am happy. I love the responses also because I needed to know the information on drinking cold water on our health. I am very pleased to the wonderful responses. Thank you guys, You have helped me alot.
Have you been this way here in mylot?

Congratulations on getting close to your target. Simple discussions elicit more responses. Discussions which features in 'mylot digest' also fetch more responses.
As you grow older here you are likely to get more responses.
I am here for pretty long time. In the beginning I have come across of phase when I would get 3-4 responses and even zero response to my discussion.
However, with the passage of time the position changed and many of my discussions fetched more than 50 responses. Some even cross the magic figure of 100.
I am happy with minimum 20 responses to my posts .... Lol!

I wish I could do this all day long and wind up in today's top. My schedule is just too full, so I am limited to a couple hours every few weeks.
I would love 100 responses in discussion. That would be awesome!
I take the time to read all responses in all discussions, because I don't really want to repeat too much of what has already been said, so it takes me a while to work through these forums.

oh yes you are right ladybug, when we sit here for few hours every week, then it becomes tough I guess. I too find time and mylot because I love it here and good discussions are going on.
wow 100 responses would be just wow. What I do is whenever the responses are coming, i keep responding back as they come so not more overload for me.

I always aim to try to do that. It helps that have an option to email you when responses come in. I feel yuck because I can't respond to all, and then weeks go by, and current events have changed by then, so then my other conversations are kind of on permanent hold.

Setting a goal could help a person to strive and work harder to reach it.
Nice that your are setting a goal that is so positive and good.
Well for me, I don't set any responses in a day but I am trying to ne more active as possible, participate more and enjoy most of the time here.

Congratulations!You finally made it.I have observed that discussions that are on light topics,interesting and attractively presented attract a good number of responses.I have not initiated many discussions and the highest number of responses was drawn by my first discussion,perhaps 25.All other discussions that I have started could get only a little more or less than ten responses.

I think all of us want our discussions to be responded by a lot of MyLot users. I have not really thought of setting a goal/number of comments but just wanted to know the different views of others.
It is good that you have attracted a lot of respondents to your previous discussion. It only means that you posted something really interesting and worth their time to respond to.
I am hoping to read more of your discussions in the coming days.

I actually have nothing left to respond to sometimes since I have sped up in typing so I would like to respond back to my discussions in the mean time till i wait for new discussions to come up. I don't like to go pages of discussions that are beyond 10. I get bored lol. But I tell you, I need to know if cold water is good for weight loss and that is why I had started that discussion and got very good points in the responses and I am glad.
Sometimes I even can't think of a discussions topic to start off with. It becomes 2-3 days that I still would not find a topic. Whereas i see that some mylotters just keep on starting many discussions at a time. I like it. Thanks for sharing and have a wonderful day ahead.

While I start a new discussions I am much excited to see the number of responses it receives. I believe that the number of responses it receives symbolize or tell us how the discussion is. I just love to get more and more of responses but they do not come in true in most of the times

No, I've never had that many responses in any of my discussions. I'm lucky if I get more than a handful of responses; and even that sometimes does not happen in one day.
Still, I am always excited to come to this site every chance I have...

yeah I normally have a handful of responses and yes it is good too. I actually need information on cold water for drinking and I got what I needed from the responses so I am glad to have the opinions of so many people.
