My dog eat her poop...

My dad used to scold our dog for eating her own poop. But she keep doing it all over again. I don't know what's something in her poop that she can't resist to eat it and became addicted to it a lot! :)

I know it looks disgusting for people and it is normal for you to make her stop this. They say when a puppy eats its' own poop, it has a lack of minerals. Why don't you first go to a vet to run some tests and see if everything's normal? If you make a riguros feed/eliminate schedule for her, you will be able to clean after her before she eats her droppings.

This is the better advice here. Usually there is a reason that dogs do this. Lack of vitamins/minerals are generally the cause. And if you clean up immediately after her, which is the law around here, the dog won't have a chance to do it.

If you put some pineapple in the dog's food she won't eat it when it comes out the other end. You can use canned pineapple. Also here is a link that should help www.paw-rescue.org/PAW/PETTIPS/DogTip_PoopEating.php Hope you get her to stop.

My dog doesn't eat his poop and urine but he eats up the things he vomitted, urgh...digusting

If the food is vomited,it is undigested and it just came right back up.A dog isn't going to notice a difference like a human would.To him,it is still food and he can just re-eat it.

Our dog here does not eat she own poop or drink her own pee but the thing is we noticed that whenever she would bear puppies, she would eat them.It is really weird.

I have a dog that does this,too.There is a supplement called Potty Mouth that is supposed to make poop taste bad for them.it works on their own poop.
