It`s good way from Ombudsman...
Don`t you know about Ombudsman?? they are country board for monitoring the public service..
as we know that our public service quality is really poor..
many distrust from people about the public service quality from many government institutions..
and that`s the reason Ombudsman will be built in Abdurrahman wahid era when he leads Indonesia..
i get the news from bandung online media..
4 of DPRD member of Bandung is reported because they misuse their authority..They are reported because the intervene Headmaster of SMAN 12 bandung in order for accepting several name of candidates of students where that student is failed in the recruitment of new student by online way..
Ombudsman Bandung get the report from Coalition of Education bandung..And Ombudsman bandung report it to the Ombudsman Republic of Indonesia In Jakarta...
One of the ombudsman bandung staff , Nakha Laraswati said that 4 DPRD member of bandung intervene the authority of headmaster SMA 12 Bandung
But Nakha only said 3 from 4 names, Deny Rudiana, Ahmad Taufik Nugraha and Tomtom Dabbul Qomar and one name is still being verification process..
Denny and Tomtom drom Democrat Party and Ahmad from PDi-P
4 of that member of DPR interve with using the attribute of DPRD..They send a letter with map of DPRD...
and ombudman bandung tried to report it too Honour board of DPR...
i think it`s challenge for our country
i do hope i can feel that challenge..but i don`t know..

It seems that many people are not familiar with Ombudsman, if you are elected as Ombudsman officer I hope that you can give more contribution to the country board especially to socialize what is Ombudsman and what are Ombudsman's duties.

yes of course..many people are not familiar with Ombudsman..
it happen in West Java
you can imagine what`s happen in Molluccas, Papua, and Sulawesi when the accessibility for getting information and internet isn`t easier like Java island people..
Of course, the first task for any staff of Ombudsman in many province are making popular Ombudsman, tell to the people what is ombudsman, what is the vision and mission of Ombudsman and so on

After read the case and Ombudsman in Yogyakarta, it seems like Ombudsman just working as mediator and have not done a real thing to help the teacher.

p.s: just reading about a case in LOD DIY(Ombudsman DIY), about some teachers who criticized about school management and then they are forced to leave the school and lost their certification money. what a heart breaking story

you must read any whole information about Ombudsman..
Commitee of Ombudsman national had been built since 20 March 2000, in Gus Dur era...
The first chairman of Ombudsman of Indonesia is Mr Prof Antonius Sujata..
you`re right..
The problem about public service are so much and maybe the quantity of ombudsman staff for solving the problem isn`t enought..
But i do hope they are dedicated people..

i think this institutions will help for improving the quality of public service..
Just we know that the public service all over our country is really poor...
I do hope the aim when Gus Dur makes this institutions succeed...
but of course it really takes a time for reaching the goal of this institutions

I have heard about this news in the past. Is it still the same case or a new one? Well sometimes I am deeply amused by these government officials. They try very hard for their kids to get into elite schools, yet these children mostly just play around in the school with no intentions of studying, getting bad marks, and then they rely on their parents once more to make them graduate. I mean, it is just pointless, what do you expect from your kids if you treat them that way?
