Dad bought 20 palm oil seedlings last week, and we have been spending a few hours on the evenings after he get home from work planting them on his little piece of land. Usually we get to plant three to four seedlings a day, but today, we decided to try to plant every leftover seedlings. It was hard labor. The seedlings is already big, aged more than 12 months, it's height each is almost as tall as my 8-years old brother. Since dad said he might buy more seedlings when he have the money, we will need to clean the remaining land. Oh, i dread thinking of clearing that tiny jungle, there's just so much trees and bushes to be cleared, but set that aside. Today I'll sleep with a content smile, hopefully.

I am very keen on palm trees. I think it must be lovely to have grown the palm oil plants. Well done for planting the palm oil seeds and taking care of them. It is amazing the original ones are now as big as your eight year old brother. It is great you have a contented smile. I live in England and it has a temperate climate. I can only grow hardy palm like plants. I have some like the New Zealand cabbage tree, the Chinese fan tree and another similar type. My favorite sort of palm tree is a coconut palm grown in the tropical countries. It wouldn't grow in my home country.

Thank you! We wish to harvest as early as we can, that is why dad buy the one that already grow. it cost more, but take less time to grow compare to planting seed. It is a pity that you can't plant much palm tree when you actually loves them. I'm from Malaysia. We do have coconut trees on our property, since we live in rural area. People that live in big city like Kuala Lumpur, even if the climate fit, they don't even have the land to grow coconut tree.

That sounds awesome and you will really enjoy all your labor while watching the seedlings grow. At first I thought you were planting seeds, but I see I assumed wrong :) Good luck with your project!
