last fri night i was able to help chaperone the football game. it was the first time i went on an away game, so this was an adventure for me. my son thought it was cool that i was going too. since all three of his ex girlfriends were attending, they thought it was awesome too. :) everyone had a good time. our school lost by 3 points. all the kids behaved themselves and had a great time. the one thing that instructor and i both agreed on, if the school district is trying to save money on transportation, then why did they send us to play a football game that was 60 miles away????? that just didn't make a whole lot of sense. but, it didn't stop us making sure the students behaved themselves and had a good time.

that was awesome! such a supportive mommy out there. My son is only 6 and loves to play football too. I can't wait for the time that I will be watching his games too. For the the mean time his dad chaperons him to play with his ball on the sports complex. Unfortunately, there aren't a lot of football games here which caters for young kids. I'm sorry you lost though, nevertheless, you and the kids enjoyed and they have behaved well too. Your team just have to practice more to win next time. You need to create a cheerleading team of mommies to cheer and inspire your kiddos. I think if all moms are like there will be no children who will lose their path. Kudos to you!

my parents were always too busy to be there for me when i did extra curricular activities. i always told myself that if my kids did anything, i wanted to be there for them. i started off chaperoning the field trips and attending the award ceremonies. i love that my kids had never asked me not to come. they were always the first to let others know that i was their mom. i'm very blessed to have wonderful children.
