USB or Cloud Storage... what do you prefer in storing your important files?

I have a transcend USB, 4GB, I used to save all my important files into it for security. Sometimes, I used to put the photoscape installation file there so that I can use it when I am on the net cafe, because there was no photo editor there... but when I know about some cloud storage like Google Drive, I tried it and it's good. Actually, I have saved all my pictures there taken when we were on Camiguin last Holiday... How about you there guys? Do you prefer USB or the cloud storage available for free now? Feel safer or not? Please share...

This two technology are different, each of them has different ways when using it. I think flash drive (commonly know as USB devices) are much useful because basically it doesn't need an internet connection. Although most of them are great products but each has different ways to be useful in saving files. It would be great to have them both for much safer purposes. You can a flash drive, then take a backup in your Cloud Storage, in this way you can have a better and sufficient disaster recovery backup for your files.

I don't really need a cloud storage, because i think my files are okay in my laptop and backup disk..Also we have a network storage, so basically there's no need for a cloud backup..

Lucky for you, though cloud storage is very popular nowadays, I still have some second thoughts about using it specially company files, anyway I got 1 tera for backup lately!

Important data which I wish to keep secure is stored on my flash drive. I have a 32Gb Sandisk Cruzer, so I am unlikely to have a storage issue for documents or spreadsheets etcetera. I have access to Skydrive, which is the Microsoft Cloud Storage system, but as of yet I have not uploaded anything to it, apart from a couple of small files as a test which were then deleted. I have no real use for this space, but if I do finally make use of it then I shall upload non sensitive material only. There is obviously a greater security risk online, irrespective of the level of protection supplied, than there is on a flash drive.

Most of my important files are in my PC with backup on my external HD. USB is also very handy when you want to transfer file. I am also using Idrive Synch for sharing files with my friends.

I save most of my files on my computer, with the more important ones e-mailed to myself. I do have some things on USBs and Dropbox, but I haven't got around to sorting them all out properly yet.
