I knew some people just can't make the transition from landline, home phone to simply have your own cell phone. As for older people, they used to have a home phone at home, and they don't want to switch their old telephone number either. But from those monopoly telephone company, like AT&T, $30 per month, the lowest plan plus junk fees, that just not worth the cost. Why not try the new plan from Verizon and straight talk, the home phone connect plan for only $15 per month for local and long distance calls. You can stay with your old number, and caller ID, three- way calling, and other features included. Think economically, and save some extra money. Do not let those companies take advantage of you.

hi,
i will prefer to handy phone because as a worker i don't usually stay at home during morning to evening because of having work,so for me its advantage if i have a wireless or handy type of land line or mobile phone so i can carry even i am at work.

I have a cellphone as my landline when I get my own place, I plan on using it. I do pay $75 a month but this also includes so much internet on it as well. My parents currently both have a cellphone and pay those per month yet have a landline (when everyone has a cellphone). I use their landline for important calls or legal things i.e. doctors appointment, etc.

I have a home phone at the moment, but the only thing that I get from it are scam phone calls from companies who have bought your number from another company and are trying to sell you something that you don't really want. When I move out of this house, then I just know that getting a phone line will not be something that is my top priority because I don't use my phone at home anyway. Whenever I want to phone anyone, I would always use my mobile because it is a lot easier and I get 300 minutes to use every month so there is not all that much point using the house phone anyway.

There is a landline phone in my home. We often use it, because my internet plan is associated with the landline phone. It is little cheaper compared to the other internet plans that why I am still using it
