a few weeks ago I installed the gomezpeer software. they didn't change my status into active but it helped me to see how much time I spend in front of the computer. and what I saw it shocked me. at the end of the day I had around 6 hours with the computer on. it's true that I didn't stay in front of the computer all the time but still...I'm trying to reduce the time but it gets harder

This sounds like a great application to have, and I think that there are a lot of people who would be shocked at the amount of time that they spend on the internet if they were able to see it. I spend around 10 hours per day on the internet because I work from home and I have to do so for my job. However, I make sure that I at least get an hour of exercise per day as well, whether that is going out for a walk or going on my exercise bike, because I want to keep in shape and I know that sitting at my computer for the whole day is making this a little difficult.

That's a good practice to have Gem. Having a daily exercise can really help us to maintain a healthy body. It's also good to know that you are a full time online worker. Good luck on your job!

I am not sure but I think my average time using my computer is more than 10 hours a day, almost double your time. But still I sneak my biking time every morning and do my market chores at the same time, cook for the family and take care of my 3 years old daughter.

6 hours! Don't worry, it's just half of my time in front of my computer. Sometimes i'm on it for 18 hours.
I think I won't be able to be in front of my pc from Oct. 7 because i'll be on vacation for a week. Traveling, sightseeing, shopping etc. But i would be on my smartphone checking my emails and twitter most of the time, and of course posting travel pictures on instagram.

that sounds like lot's of fun. enjoy your time away from the computer. I went one week to greece and I didn't have any internet connection as I don't own a smartphone. when I got home I was crazy to get on the computer. you could call me a little bit addicted. if I don't come online one day I"m going crazy

Months before i was just addicted to the computer. I used to spent about seven or more than that per day. Due to this addiction it had gifted me to wear spectacles and to avoid further problem for my eyes i had just reduced the time two or three.

Hi swissheart! I don't know how to react, I spend 8 hours in front of the computer at the office and when I go home, I still have to stay in front of the computer for my online job. The most part of the is being spent with myLot.

Sixteen it is such a long time.
I think you should control it by yourself other wise it will turn as a big challenge to your eyes.

oh, it takes time to make you be active when you installed gomezpeer. Everyday i spend around 8-9 hours in front of a computer and the result is i get backache in the end of day. I really don't want to use a computer for long but currently i have no choice because all my works are done on a computer.
To be honest, i want to find another work, that i don't have to use a computer everyday...

It is common that young people spend a large amount of time in playng computer.It seems become an indispensable part in our daily life.Without computers and Internet,we almost don't know what to do.I think it's really do harm to our health both mind and physical,we really need to get over it.
