What is the present position of Amway?

I had thought about joining them myself about 5 years ago. but here in the USA it was about $300 to join. I just went over to their site and now it's only $62 to join. Amway was one of the first direct marketing companies. Back in 1957 if i am not mistaken. So to know they are still around and doing well is awesome. I personally am with Herbalife and I love it so much!!! It has changed my life

I haven't used Amway products personally, but I have heard good reviews about it. One of my dad's client uses some products of Amway. He was saying that the toothpaste costs around Rs 300, but it cures bad breath and also it lasts for around 2 and a half month. So the price was worth its benefits. Those who use Amway products become their loyal customers so I guess if you are trying hands at selling their products I am sure you will find success. Take care!

It is doing well so far, making a lot of money since the inception of the company, in the beginning, the company make money from member fees and selling to the public at exhorbitant price on their household products, now they can waive the membership fee, though the company also require all their members and sales associates to be part of the pyramid scheme where the highest member make the most for doing nothing except in charge of recruit more and more people to join the company sales force from bottom up. Right! you can't buy Amway product from the store except through individual sales person or personal sales through friend or family member, there is no store or shop where you can shop for Amway products like the rest of the household product you commonly found in the store. Since the day of inception, they managed to expand into wider product lines other than just household goods.

Amway is still running good. Because their products are of outstanding quality, people who used it once stick with it. We are using their SA-8 for washing our clothes. The cost is 550 INR, but it lasts for nearly 5 to 6 months. The detergent powder consumption for 5 months comes around 700 INR for our family. So, though people think "Amway products are costly", it's not really that much costly. However, I'm not trying to make money with Amway. I've found an equally good company, but Indian. (It's the only company that started in India and spread international. Their products are fantastic and their compensation plan is very good. I will discuss it via PM.) I've seen many international companies coming to India, but I'm little proud that this Indian company started spreading international.

I have used many products of am-way, and they have turned out to be quite satisfying.

Yugasini: First you must have belief in their product. Next you must have marketing tactics. Third you must be willing to make more and more money and have a need for that. fourth you must have physique that can help you running here and there and willingness to talk over phone or in person and convince people. fifty you must be willing to face a No from majority of people. If you have satisfied all the abvoe five conditions -- then start with full energy and enthusiasm coupled with hope. wish you success. I know many people have been benefitted by joing amway. yes they made a lot of money out of this by taking other new members.

Hi yugasini! I was also encouraged by a friend to join amway several years ago but I was not able because of the high joining fee. It's good to know that joining amway now is free. Perhaps I could reconsider it also.
