How do you get started earning money teaching English

I've seen a few posts where people say they are earning money teaching English on-line. How do you get started with this, and what level of grammatical knowledge do you need? Also what equipment is required? Computer, video camera, headset I assume?

I'm wondering if one of the freelancer sites like Odesk might offer tutor work? You could check out other people already doing it, maybe look at the "about us" on their website. Like writing for a living, there's probably online agencies looking for tutors.

In my opinion, it could be done using a site that support webcam chat. Whether facebook, skype, etc. About grammar, you have to had a great so you won't disappoint them. You could study it from the book of "Grammar in use".

Well i am really curious to know about this new opportunity of earning money online by teaching English online. Well i suppose u need a computer with a web camera where u can post videos of certain grammatical sentences and their usage in our daily lives on certain sites. The ones accessing those sites might be contributing if they are being benefited. i am assuming this might be the way that people are earning money online by teaching English online. What say?
