On monday I lost my cat in a parking lot (well my daughter`s cat)!! Could you believe it? It´s a weird place to loose a cat. But I did, and after 45 mins of looking for her down the floor inside the car enginees I retrieved it(well my husband did). This experience was a chance to size what lovely my husband is! On monday I took our two cats to the vet because they were going to have sterilisation surgery. As there was time, I took them to see a supplier. I didn´t have cat cage so I took them beside me in the car. They were pretty calm. I saw my supplier, and while I was reaching my car the parking lot lady joked with me, I answered to her joke, (indeed she was telling me I was so speedy in my visit). In that moment I opened the car door, and my "peaceful" kitty jumped as fast out of the car, and ran 12 feets under a truck. OMG. I was desperate, I yelled at her. A boy came to help me, he went under the truck without success. In that moment my husband phoned me, and I told him, about my problem. I realized that I have a great husband. He didn´t blamed me, instead he came out of job, and he came to help me. He was so handsome in his job suit, and he took out the skirt to go under the truck to look for our kitty. I began crying and he asked me to stay calm. I felt so confident with him beside me. I´m sure I´ll never find someone like him. After 40 mins, finally he discovered our kitty inside one of the wheel axes. She was so well hidden!! She was scared, I ran under the truck and grabbed her. Then finally I stopped successfully at the vet office. Have you ever had some trouble in which you experienced how someone really cares of you? Blessings lol!... dainy

Wow!! Do you think maybe that now you will invest in a couple of carriers? You were lucky he found her. Most vets have those cardboard carriers that are inexpensive. I've used them before but I ended up getting a good one. They don't cost but about $15 here (small cat size). Sounds like you have a very caring husband. How long have you been married? I hope your kitty doesn't associate a car ride with fear from here on out. Getting scared and crouching under a truck and then having what had to be an unpleasant experience with the surgery, she may need therapy!!

Hello yoyo! Of course I realized so many things on monday: I was an idiot, first of all. I realized I have a great husband and I acted as an idiot. It is me who blame all this kitty problem. I felt so confident of myself, and I joked with that lady too. But this showed me I need to be more humble. God has allowed us to be married for 15 years, but there have been 28 years since we met. My kitty was very stress, she was angry with me monday night. I gave her medicines, and she has rested in the last 48 hrs. and today she was lovely again. . Blessings yoyo... dainy

While feeling sorry for the loss of the cat at the very beginning, I became happy when I was reading the end of the discussion to find that this lost cat was finally discovered under one of the wheel axes. It makes feel relaxed that you finally got it back with the great help of your husband. He is really great. I think that this cat might probably know that you were going to send her to the vet without her being willing to, which led to her jumping out of the car and hid herself down under the car. Anyway I am glad this is a happy ending with the cat. Thanks for the discussion and take care.

Wow silverfox you do know cats! Sure! I called her many times and she pretend not to hear, she was so frightened. A dog even if it`s frightened would be easier to come to our call. You are right! Love is world`s fuel. When I`ve seen that my husband tried to be against me I stopped him. I thank too much God for his mercies. Blessings silverfox... dainy

I'm glad you got your cat back and had someone to retrieve her for you without blaming you and all that nonsense. Things happen and we can't control everything so that it doesn't. I'm sure next time you'll be more careful without having someone to reprimand you, etc about it. As if you didn't feel bad enough and stressed out to begin with, and yes you have a great husband. I'd say he was a keeper. More people in the world should be like him! I live with someone whose always blaming me for things, etc and it gets on my nerves, brings me down, etc. So it's not a happy situations. i do have some good experiences too though with others. I try not to blame everyone for their carelessness or whatever you want to call it either.

Hello nailtech, thanks you for sharing also my happiness. Actually I have my kitty aslept in my legs while I`m typping to you. My husband also told me that we cann`t control everything, but sure I should be more careful in the future.I`m sure I would have gotten angry if it would have been my husband or my children. I feel so ashamed and thankful with my husband. My husband used to blame me in our first year of marriage, 14 years ago, but I have learnt to stop him. Even if I had to yell two or three times at him to stop it. I felt very sad after yelling at him, but I wanted him to stop being rude. I felt so sad of being blamed. And when he blamed me I used to think he was not fair because I was doing my best to be a stay at home mom, and I was suffering the lost of my parents, too. I think this time would have been fair that he blamed me on, because I has been such an idiot with our kitty, but I think he learnt I need love, to give love. Our fuel is love. And world`s fuel is love. The problem with my kitty was a hard lesson for me. You are so sweet I hope you receive love from your partner. Blessings nailtech... dainy

I have a similar experience happened to my Jackson, my pet dog. This happended when I was just a kid. I'm about to go to school when suddenly I heard him barked as if asking for help. I rush to the sound and immedicaltely pulled him out. That was really a good thing to do. Now, he already passed away and had several offspring for me to take care of. I really enjoy more now. Lastly, I really admire those people who really risk just to safeguard their pets. How I wish everybody treats those animals humane. Thanks

Hello mikyung, pets are wonderful friends. They know when we are sad and they know when we are angry, and they know when we are happy. My children asks me why God made pets. I answer him that God made pets, to make life sweeter. It`s sad that some people never know what a pet is. Or animals are. They are a piece of God. Blessings mikyung... dainy

Surprisingly, this has never happened to me. I have had four cats, and now I have three, and I was always pretty vigilant about keeping them with me when I took them to the vet or to PetSmart. Did you have your cats in carriers? I always have my cats in carriers when taking them to the vet to prevent them from running off.

Hello rogue! Nice number 13! Cats are so nice. We have five by now, one of my kitties had three kittens a couple of months ago. I was so idiot, I shouldn´t be so greedy and buy one carrier. They are sold to prevent this kind of problems. I had been so idiot. But I had learnt the lesson. Blessings rogue...dainy

It seems the topic is not actually about the cat but about a loving husband to the rescue. It is so nice to know how your husband cares about your feeling, he does not want to put you in a situation wherein your day will be ruined. He gave his time to you in whatever circumstances you may get into. And to your cats, in order to give back the same treatment that your husband did to you, be sure to lock them safely wherever and whenever you will be out so as not to disturb your husband in what he is busy doing with for his day's work.

Hello Macayadann. You are right. I felt so ashamed, blame on me. It was a lesson for me. Maybe I would have reacted angry if I`d been him. I have no words to express my feelings. I have to be more careful, more patient, and more lovely with him. That was the lesson for me. Blessings macayadann... dainy
