I am so busy I can't catch my breath sometimes!

I have had a very busy week. Not including that I have a very busy tOddler keeping me awake at night. I am relying on coffee and no sleep for this week. I have done it plenty of times but this is a hard sleep. I had an appointment today and finally caught a nap two hours before it and almost missed my visitor. Thank god I am a light sleeper or I would be even busier tomorrow. I can't stand letting people down so that may be a big factor. I am up now since Monday it is going to be Thursday. I have caught maybe four cat naps of roughly two to six hours each and they all happen in the afternoon or early morning when my daughter decides its nap time. How does she do this? All the energy of a two year old I wished they bottled it! At least it's not like when she was younger and kept the whole house awake with cries from tummy troubles and just plain baby cries. I thank god for that. I can't wait to catch up in my sleep this weekend.

Thst is how stressed i have become since i have become a mom. the kids' demand could be so high at times that your quality hours of sleep would be diminished.

That is how I feel all day everyday. I rarely sit down until my daughter goes to bed at night.

hi tangleddreams oh a two year old they can run you ragged before they even get a bit tired lol. when my son was a baby he had colic so bad at first and I thought I was never ever going to sleep all night again but eventually we solved the colic and he did sleep then he was abou seven months old or less I found out that nursing does not act like a pill to stop you from getting P g again., so I had two babies 11 months a part. whoopedy do.,again no sleep but finally she too slept all night. now I am elderly and when do I wake up at night? you guessed it 2 am. and no babies to feed just this elderly woman wondering why am I awake NOw and looking at the clock and going back to sleep .lol such fun no body to feed just night to sleep . happy happy

It is awful that you are so busy at the moment, and you have to try to change something about the way you're living or you might find that it has a negative impact on your health. You say that you can't stand letting people down, but by being this way you are letting yourself down because you're not happy. There is nothing wrong with telling people that you can't do something, and you can try to use those vital extra hours to catch up on your sleep. It is hard when you have children because you're expected to be able to do everything, but the truth is that Mums aren't superheroes, and you need sleep!
