Why is everyone afraid of Tooth extraction?

Our teeth plays important part of our life that's why it need a lot of care, but once its taken for granted, expect the worst pain ever. I hate the pain of having a toothache. but why is everyone afraid of having extraction, even men,young and old alike. thank you.

i think because it affects the nerves,lot of people say that,i don't know whether it is right,but i know it is painful,when i dream it i can't endure it ,teeth is important which affects our appetite,we should protect it,i think,good luck!

Your correct, our teeth is very important, since we need it in chewing our food. A lot of care is needed to preserve it, especially our smile. I cant imagine smiling without my teeth. Have a nice day.

well... because it's painful. even though there's anesthesia during the extraction you still feel the pain when it wears of. so yes, i am also afraid of tooth extractions.

Hi ddaguno, the extraction is painful but having the ache is even worst, the pain of extraction is like one time, big time. and its over.But enduring the pain of toothache, can ruin the day. happy mylotting.

I think almost everyone is afraid of dentist. Sounds funny, but I knew few men who doesn't like to visit a dentist I am not afraid to have my tooth extracted- I have it done 3 times already.

yeah it is very painful and i can't bare toothache too. I am scared of tooth extractions so much. i have not seen a dentist in a long time now. Thanks for sharing and have a wonderful day ahead.
