Why man has no contentment in life ? If we have less , we strive to have more and if we have more we strive to have much. Why is it so difficult to be contented with little ? and if we have much , still we are not contented ? Share me your brilliant mind My Lotters.

This is the fundamental truth that governs our life we are not contented how can we be happy? more is needed to be happy why more because other has.why seeing others it can't be otherwise so it is better to be contented because on contentment your all desires are fulfilled. In reality you have a brilliant mind that you asked this beautiful and selfless question.

It is a human nature that we crave for more and more , sometimes it will just be aggravated by the social groups around. We tend to have what others have , jealousy is the name of the game. That is why we never are contented because neighbors are also not such a very wrong attribute . This must be thrown away , this will only make ones life more messy.

I wanted to say: speak for yourself since I am not the kind of person you describe. I don't need more and more and actually have way less as I had as a kid, teenager or few years ago. I quess some are not able to live with less, afraid they can not manage with less since they never learned how to manage. To others property means you belong to a group. Society will accept you (at last). But I also do most people are raised to be in competition. You always have to be the best, the first, the most beautiful, the richest, etc etc. Society is forcing you day and night, so are most families. There is no space to be you, to do with less. If you live in a western country and say you will give up everything to live in the forest (back to nature) or Africa, no electricity, no water tap, no doctors, everybody will say you are an idiot.

I speak for general , usually these are the things i saw , observed from others. I speak also for myself. So good for you because you are the exemption ! Keep that good attribute ! So hard to be contented in this changing ,moving , competing fast world.

Well it is the nature of human mind that we are never content. There are very less people I have met whom are happy the way they are and with what they have. Thanks for sharing and have a wonderful day ahead.

True , we crave always for more ! Is it a matter of mind conditioning or we are just to attached to material things ? So blessed are those who are not looking for things that are not in their hands.

This is basically a spiritual question because as someone once said 'man has an empty space inside which only God can fill'. That is a very rough quote but you will understand where I am going. My life is not really full, I have times when I feel discontented too but this is cured for me by taking time out to sit quietly by myself to pray. These quiet moments clear my mind and some thoughts often come to me which I had not considered before. I think such moments are inspirational. So in answer to your question I think it is difficult to be content with anything, little or much, if we leave that space for God empty.

Because we are just a human being , we never can satisfy ourselves though we tried very much to ! Yes very true , there's always that vacuum and we even don't know what is really that we need ? We always have pits in our life , which is beyond our understanding and yes , only God can fill it .
