Who has dragonfruit?

Philippines

I first tasted dragonfruit in Japan and when I came to the Philippines, I realized that it is very expensive here. I want to plant it at home but I could not find a seedling or seed. Anyone who tried to plant this? Share me your planting tips.

I don't have a clue about planting this, but I also had dragonfruit for the first time not here but in Thailand. And you're right, I was so surprised to find out how expensive it is.

I searched the internet and found out that it is very easy to grow. But the problem is where can I get the seeds?

hi there dorisday1971. here are a couple of links to help you with your question: http://www.internetphilippines.com/philippine-agriculture/where-to-buy-dragon-fruit-cuttings-or-seedlings-variety/ scroll through the article and near the latter part, the author gave four possible contact persons where you can purchase dragonfruit seeds. here are a couple more links about planting dragonfruit: *http://blog.agriculture.ph/dragon-fruit-farm-in-the-philippines.html *http://www.agripinoy.net/growing-pitaya-dragonfruit.html hope these links help. haven't personally tried planting dragonfruit. i doubt if i will but i do like the fruit and purchase a lot of it. i think i have dragonfruit once or twice a week. it is a welcome change from the usual apples, pears, oranges, and watermelons, that i have for dessert. cheers and happy mylotting!!!
