Tell me about Indian films

What drama/comedy/suspense films from India do you think are good? I've only seen a few Indian films, most from one director (Mira Nair).
I've heard about Bollywood, but most of the films I"ve heard mentioned are romantic musicals with lots of music, dancing, and fancy clothing. Is this typical of Indian film in general, or just the kind called Bollywood?

Indian films are not worth watching. Only some of their art movies are good. Usually Indians always copy from some English movie and they dont even copy good.
