Its been six months since I bought my laptop and I'm very happy to have my second laptop. I'm really hoping that my laptop can last about five more years before I need to buy another one.
Right now I don't have plans to buy PC. Its been a decade since I last buy a PC. I know PC right now are getting cheaper but not as cheap as laptop if you compare the specs and the size also. Before when you buy laptop the price is almost double to desktop with the same specs. Now the price difference is almost 30% only.

I also have my laptop since a year and 7 months ago. This is my first laptop and also hope it would last that long. the only problem I have with it right now is that it could no longer last long with being plugged in. I need to replace the battery. But my friends told me to buy a new laptop.

7 months and already have battery problem? I don't see any reason why you need to buy new laptop since its only the battery is broken. Anyway you can use your laptop without using battery. Me I always remove the battery when I use my laptop. I only put my laptop if I'm going out.

I would also suggest you do the same thing your friends have told you,which is get a new laptop. It would be better for you and it would give you an idea of the kind of specs you need in your new laptop, when you plan to get one.
Changing battery of laptop never guarantees that the system would work perfectly as it should have like if it was new. Most laptop batteries are made in China and most times when the original battery goes bad and you get a replacement, the polarity are different due to conditions and weather they were manufactured for.

Aww now I miss my laptop. It's broken. The hard disk is busted. Now I am just using my phone to get on here. well I can use the pc but sometimes I am too lazy to get on the computer. I hope I can get it fixed. I don't have the budget to but a new one :(

Using my mobile too for now, it gives me easy and hands-on access to the internet, although it's not a big device but hope to get a better one soon. It's quite an easy experience as I can come here anytime I want to, using mobile to access the internet is sometimes good but the negative part is you never get the feel of using a laptop due to its limitations in handling, moreso I can't do a lot of my writing work with it.
Staying away from my laptop for now, besides that I can't afford internet bills for it right at the moment.

Yeah my phone is also too small for mylot site. Everything is so cute hehe.. Yeah me too. I'm just being practical now. But I am afraid my phone will get over used too by doing this.. ???

If your hard disk is busted then that means you need to buy a new laptop. I know hard disk only cost like 4,000 pesos more or less depends your hard disk capacity. But judging with the circumstances hard disk does not go busted right away. So if its give in that means your laptop is old and that mean even if you going to buy new hard disk sooner or later some parts will give in also.

This now reminds me that I need to change my laptop, although I love it because it's quite strong, better still rugged as I never get scared of crashing. Only doubt is the handling of better internet performance, software and applications I use, have the need to upgrade to one 8gb ram laptop so I could get better response speed, January would be my set date for such upgrade, really can't afford any luxuries now.

If you planning for upgrade its better that you just buy a new one. first of all when your motherboard give in then your upgrades will just go to waste. Its better that you buy new laptop as all will be brand new and its going to go old together. Unlike if you go upgrade some parts are new while some parts are old.

Laptop is actually a PC, it's called a pc laptop, while what most people call a pc is actually a desktop pc. Apple's computer on the other hand is not called a pc but a Mac for desktop and Macbooks for laptops.
As long as the laptop you bought is of good quality, it could usually last up to 5 years. Just make sure you always try to check for viruses, as they are the most common culprit in pc's. The battery will definitely deteriorate after a year, so when you're just at home using your laptop, remove the battery pack and just make use of your ac adaptor.

I guess toniganzon just sharing her few tips. Sometimes common words is so common that we don't know the difference. But that's true. when you say PC its means desktop simply because desktop is the first PC to go out in the market. And later on they develop laptop. But both are PC in technical terms.

Guess there was the need to clear this up for the lame ones, I.T geeks always have that urge to specify rather than just go with non I.T geeks use of words, we all know that a PC qualify a desktop computer and Laptop is laptop nothing added or subtracted.

Good thing that you are enjoyinh your laptop.
I am meticulous in buying things. I always buy things that would really last long so the money wont be got wasted. Quite pratical yet decide well before buying. Now, I do enjoy my laptop that I bought a year ago. Very useful and showcase nice features that are realky helpful to me.

My target is to have my laptop last more than five years. In short I'm going to buy new laptop every five years. Anyway I'm happy that my laptop is six months old. In just one year I can pay off my creditcard as right now my creditcard bill for my laptop is 12 months to pay. I'm happy that with my online earning only I can buy new laptop. Although my creditcard is full right now. I hope I can manage to earn good amount of money online so that after five years I can buy more powerful laptop.

I love my laptop too, and I only had it about a few months ago as a birthday gift from my husband. I think the last time that I have used a desktop PC was when I was still in high school. When our house in Manila got flooded, the PC was submerged and was never recovered. From then on, we decided to just use laptop, so now everyone in the family have their own laptops.

lols same in our hour also. We use laptop. Its good to use laptop. its easy to store and the best part its light and since the price of a laptop is almost the same or just a little expensive than desktop but in the long run its worth it to have a laptop than desktop.
