Gilmore Girls for Gender Roles

I think Gilmore Girls is such a great show and it really shows how women can be strong and independent! They're so successful and happy (mostly) on their own, having just each other to rely on. I can't wait for my kids to be old enough to enjoy the show! Anyone else have all the seasons on DVD to watch again and again!? Especially when I have a bad day I love curling up and popping in one of the seasons to relax and feel better!

I liked the show for many of the reasons that you mentioned and I'm a guy. I like shows with strong women characters; even ones that are not real life, like Xena: Warrior Princess or Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
