I recently browsed the ebay jewelry accessories area and i found out that there were a lot of gold filled jewelries ranging from 9K-18K in Auction. I wanted to place a bid on the items since it was showcased in a very cheap starting price. But I was too skeptical in doing so because I really don't know if it has a real value. I even saw some item costs $599 in retail as posted by the seller but it only sells up to $5 winning bid. If appraised in the pawnshop will they accept these Gold items? Is $599 the real value of that Gold item I saw? If not why do they need to fake the original price of the item?

i got a necklace and i guess it is supposed to be gold filled but i like it and have never really had a problem with it but to be honest, i don't think you could trade it in for that much money.

You have to be real careful buying jewelry off ebay. My advice is stick with jewelry stores or possibly pawn shop when you want to buy things like that. With ebay there isn't any way to check it out to make sure after you pay your money for it. I bought a ring once that stated a real emerald and turned out to be fake.
