Our home renovation over

India
September 30, 2012 4:45am CST
We have built one home on the main street in 1993, it is a 2 storey building, after hubby retired in 2006, we renovated our old home to another 2 storey building; but one portion on the back side was left due to interference by neighbors, because of common walls. This work was started on 2nd December 2011, it is complete now, and again it has 2 storeys. I am happy of this portion; it has a big hall, fully tiled, toilets, and bath rooms; with anti-skid floors, there is no chance of slipping any more. I have my new puja room, with marble floor; I am happy. Now I can accommodate my elder son, his family, hubby’s brother, his wife and kids when they come as well as guests. What about your house, please respond and also share your valued opinion on this story. Kalyni Madam: nice to hear about new construction and you are happy you can accommodate when relatives come and stay with you. But when relatives are not there this much space will appear big and we start accumulating new furniture and get it dumped. This is one problem of staying in own house where unwanted things get accumulated largely. How do you check this?

I am so glad you have completed the work on your home! I know it has been a lot of hard work, but now that it is done you can set back and enjoy it! It did not ever take you a whole year to get it done, so you must have worked very hard at it! Way to go! Congrats!!

Our home is actually a very modest home and is very much a work in progress. You see, we bought our house in 2008 and we knew that we were going to have to do quite a bit of work on it, but that is something that we were willing to do because of the fact that we wanted to buy a house that we would be able to improve over time. We have four bedrooms and one bath, a kitchen/dining room and a large living room. It is just the four of us that live here full time. However, we have opened up our house to my best friend and her children, so when they are all here, there are a total of eight people in our house. The girls (my daughter and her two daughters) share a room and the boys (my son and her son) share a room . She camps out in the living room.

We did not have our home renovated but instead my family built a new house from another block since we were just renting an apartment. That was 2004 when we finally had to stay in our own house. Until now our house looks new but when I am already working Ill have some major makeovers in our kitchen and dining area as well as our entertainment room. Goodluck to me! :)

this is an example of good news from a fellow mylottters. we always try to improve ourselves. implementing home improvements to showcase the growing family and its needs is a sign of good times ahead. being with our family does no doubt make us happy. so having rooms for family guests to keep with us is a good idea.

hi kakyni wow its finally finished and souns so lovely tiled hall and baths and toilet and non slip tile thats just great. I am living in Gold C rest Retirement center 'but in a much nicer room with its own air conditioner pink shag carpet and each of us have our own huge bureaus , the two of us.We have a large window that looks out on the employee parking area for a big Vietnamese grocery store and also out there are at least a dozen alley cats tossed put by heartless owners. The meat cutters often feed them with meat scrap s.
