Monday marks the end of the weekend and a start of another grueling week. Every Monday I get this sick feeling. And this grumpy disposition. Monday blues they call it. But despite all that, I still try my best to get through the day smoothly and without a fight. How about you guys, do you get Monday blues too? What do you do to lessen it?

Sunday was the real end of every week,as this is the only day we could enjoy our liberties to roam around,or just stay in your bedroom and keeps on sleeping.A Monday is really the first day of our earning our livelihoods. We can not deny that sometimes it feels not to go up and just sleep, yet you have many mouths to feed besides yourself, and the other expenses in your files to pay for, that is why you should exert extra time to make those payments be paid up after weekends.A sideline is a must to have an extra income just to have a little funfair between your schedules,so that life could never become boring but satisfying.

That is just your fresh ideas, that being a boss in your own business outfit, does not make you present during a Monday. You are correct that you may not be made to be present during a Monday, but you are definitely important to be present in your company. You must take note, that you are not working anymore because you are already investing such business, that you must have to focus on its operations,so that you could see back your invested money in it.A good businesswoman should be very attentive to her business especially if she just started it.Do not let your employees or a trusted person to operate in your business, because even if you say he is trusted, when it comes to money matters, you should be the one who should count your earnings in that day and even your day to day earnings. You must trace all records to know that.Be guided accordingly,so that you would never be a loser.

Hmm I think having a sideline is a good idea. I think mylot is a cool sideline. I'm too lazy for a higher paying one. Maybe I should just put up my own business and be my own boss so that I won't have to force myself to work on a Monday.

I just make the decision to get it over with. There will come a day when you have better Mondays. This will be because you have changed your career or life and everyday gets better. Sometimes one must go through pain to get to pleasure. Believe me, I have seen many Mondays. I want to see many more Mondays. Be a trooper and see your day through. Happy Monday and good day.

Well I think it's my career that's giving me these blues. It's kind of stressful lately. I wanted to do a career related to my course. Maybe I would learn to love it.

Great job! We both have the same feeling right now. Too bad I have this motivation to kill that in an instant, but hope to get an extra day off as well. That motivation is money; I have to earn =_=") Salary has been one of my driving tools so far not to render absenteism espacially during Mondays. I can't blame other co-workers not going to work even on the first day of the working week because of these "blues" they're experiencing. Happy Mylotting on a monday night though. LOL.

Hi Resy! Money is indeed a great motivator for us to wake up and go to work. But sometimes it's so tempting to just stay in bed. Hi Rain! Interesting headstone

Lol, for sure, it's always a struggle to wake up Monday morning, then I have to keep struggling for the most part of the day :P But I usually get over my Monday blues before the day ends. It's like my body and mind know I still have another 4 working days to go through, so I better fortify myself first before I dive headlong into the week. And it always help to eat my favorite food for lunch, then a run in the park in the evening.

Hmm well yes maybe next Monday my favorite food might actually do the trick. My problem on Mondays is the getting up part. After that the days will go smoothly.

Hi Lynnes! I actually do that! I don't want to get up of bed right away so I set my alarm 30 minutes earlier. The problem is the human alarm which I cannot turn off. But yes if I would sleep earlier on Sunday I might lessen the blues.

Ah. Well, maybe going to bed early Sunday night will help ;) Another thing you can do is set your alarm earlier then your usual wake up time. Say, if your wake up time is 7 am, then set your alarm at 6.30. That way, when your alarm first rings, you don't actually have to immediately wake up, but can just snooze for a bit while preparing yourself for another 30 minutes before you have to get up. This works for me too most mornings, not just Monday, when I have to get up early. Hope it helps :)

Oh you have monday sickness. I also feel the same sometimes. But if I know that if I have a lot to do at the office. I have the urge to start the day actively. I usually have Friday sickness when I already feel bored.

Hi flapiz, Unfortunately many people get the Monday blues. The biggest reason seems to be that most people are going to a job that they don't enjoy, some even say that they hate their job. The solution in my opinion is to get people into jobs that they like doing. That of course will take time but hopefully, we may be able to do that for many of the young people coming out of school today. For people in jobs today, we should perhaps try to change our attitudes. Maybe our jobs and the people we work with are not as bad as we've been telling ourselves. Let's adopt a more positive attitude and maybe we won't suffer so much from the Monday blues. Blessings.

Hi Pose! I think you are right. It has something to do with our job and how we love it. The world is in a crisis and nsometimes we are forced to take a job we don't like for a living. So we end up with the blues. But like you said we must change our attitudes as we are already lucky to find a job.

I get monday blues all the time and then I have trouble sleeping sunday nights because I know I have to get up early. But this week I didn't have to worry about it because I am on vacation from work for the whole week so I don't have to get up at 530 anymore I can sleep in and get up whenever I want. Today I slept in til 10 and slept off and on most of the day because I didn't sleep good the night before. So no monday blues for me today.

Oh gosh I'm so jealous. I miss waking up at 10 am or even 2 pm. Here at home with my parents I don't get that privilege as it is a house rule to eat breakfast together and that is at 6 am.

You need a change in perspective. If Monday brings you down because it's the end of your fun, then you need to find a way to improve your day and by extension the rest of your week. Make a change in your routine, find something to be grateful for (like waking up another day) and make the most of your Monday.

So for you it's not Monday blues but rather Monday blacks? Monday has always been kinda like the reaper of weekends and the start of another busy week. But for now I'm learning to like it a little more.

Today I also woke up early because today I want to start to excercise myself but couldn't do it because it was raining. I was going to jog too but couldn't do it because of the rain. I'll have to do it at the afternoon. So I didn't started my day as I have planned it and it also was a very gray morning with the rain but I just didn't get the monday blues.

i find it rough getting up for work on Mondays and to that end, i always plan out the clothes that i am going to wear for the week for work. this always help smooth things so Monday morning is not so chaotic.

Well yes the getting up is the hardest part. Well planning my outfit ahead of time doesn't really work for me because sometimes the outfit I planned won't look good on me on that day. I do have a weird eyesight. Hehe. What I do is a drill of fitting clothes that will suit me everyday. It's a ruthless cycle.

I hate Mondays period. i work Monday thru Friday and always have the weekend off. I start getting sad Sunday night just thinking about going to work Monday. Once I finally get up, take a long shower and am out the door, the bad feeling usually goes away. Hope your day gets better:)

Too bad to hear that my friend...I felt the same way too but I conquered that feeling because I have a motivation to go on and get up from my bed. In this day, I need to embrace a lot of differences on the process in my job.Although, I need a lot of adjustments, I still find it easy because I did not want to spoil my Monday. For some students, they called it"Monday sickness".
