I admit i find it bit depressing at this moment where i am craving for Japanese foods preferably Sushi and sashimi, unfortunately i just have my tooth extraction and not allowed to eat this kind of food for the week :( Maybe you can suggest some relief to ease my depression :)

I don't know what to suggest since it's not allowed by this time. Maybe, the best remedy is..save all your cravings and eat all you can once your gums are fine

I hope you recover from the extraction quickly. Is it the raw fish that you can't eat or the rice or both? If it's just the fish why not eat other types of sushi? I made pickled pumpkin sushi last week. It was really yummy. I will buy a package of pumpkin again. The pumpkin came in a package already sliced and ready to go. It was like nothing I have ever had before. Yumm. Also cucumber, sauteed carrot or avocado are great fillings for non fish eaters. Some sushi uses cooked fish. Shrimp and octopus come to mind, but I'm sure there are others. Again. I hope you are feeling better soon.

Since it is only prohibited for a week, perhaps you can plan next week's meals! That would help you look forward to enjoying it next week and maybe you would not miss it so much this week!

For the better of your oral health, I also suggest you calm down your craving for the sushi or Japanese cuisines. I have this craving for Japanese food too, but I would rather go with my friends instead go on my own to the restaurant. I wish that I can have that Sushi meal next week too.

That is sad. I'm a fan of Salmon sashimi and would definitely be disappointed if I'm in your shoes. The good part, when you are fully healed, you can eat them to your heart's delight. Be patient... (",)

Wow,you don't have enough pain that it would bother you to eat? That is good! But you will be able to eat sushi soon enough. Why not have some miso soup? That goes with sushi and is very satisfying.Or you could have some green tea or green tea ice cream.
