i don't know if i should agree with this cyber crime law

In the country, some people were protesting this cybercrime law as the government may abuse their power and affect the freedom of speech. although i agree that some activities like illegal crimes against humanity done online be punished but it may give some disadvantage to some common user of the internet.
so i don't know if this would be good in our society . but if it will have good effect on the society then i will support it. the only thing is that i am not sure of what the government can do with such power.
so i am just observing if the protesters would win or if the government would be able to implement this despite the mounting protest from small sectors.

Personally I think the goverment(s) are interfering way too much. They always have an excuse why they do so and I doubt all these laws will help at all. If it comes to it you hear way to often they can not help you. If you want a lawyer or the court help you, you can forget it. It's just one of the many ways to control people and take away freedom more and more. If you really think we all have freedom of living, speach or ... you are wrong. We all are controlled if we like it or not. Crime always existed and will always be there no matter what the government(s) say or do. It's better to inform and to show you take crime serious by taking those who have to deal with it seriously. In many cases you can't even go to the police for it or the police is not even willing to make a file about it.

i just hope what is best for the country would happen whatever it is. so i don't stand for anything on this issue for now. i don't know which is better if there is such rule or not.

Hi hotsummer! Actually, I don't know yet what is inside this law as of now, but what I understand is that the people are protesting because of the clause that would somehow prevent the people from airing what they want. They said the will deprive them of their freedom of expression.
I have already downloaded a copy of this Republic Act and would study it later. Have a nice day!

I really don't know if the cyber crime law will give good effect to our country. I agree that there are lot of crime happened through internet but for me because I always post in my social networking sites cyber crime law is not good for me. 
But I just post something like on my facebook. I just post goodmorning or some cute photos. Just like that. Do you think cyber crime law can affect something in our mylotting?
