Anybody know Second Life?

It's a game where you control your avatar and explore virtual and doing virtual activities. But I recently discovered you can convert their virtual money into cash. And I meant real cash. I'm not sure how through was that but I haven't earn any of their virtual money to know whether it's true or not.

I have a secondlife account but I haven't visited the site yet for a month now and Im not quite sure if it allows you to earn money.
