I want to join MBA college in Seattle soon. I took the TOEFL and did pretty well. Got a 113 of 120. That was my first attempt too. Must say I am quite happy with the TOEFL scores. However, the GMAT seems like a tough nut to crack :( and am already depressed.
I do not have a math background. I took up history, political science and literature in college. Later, I majored in History. Math..I left after my 10th standard (India). Now, getting back to math seems like a huge ordeal!
GMAT math is more like analytical thinking..lateral thinking sort of stuff. I do not need the answer but I should be able to work around the problem for the solution. The data sufficiency..and the entire GMAT material is giving me creeps. I am unable to sleep well at nights. Husband thinks am not preparing enough..well..what can I say? Only I know what am going through. Basically, I have little or no interest in math..If possible, I want to do the MBA without the GMAT but some people at husband's office convinced him that it isn't worth..well..god save me.
Any help from mylotters is greatly appreciated! For starters, am using the Manhattan GMAT prep. I am also browsing through mathisfun.com and math.com websites everyday..what do I do?? I really need a miracle here!

Well i am glad to know that u have scored such amazing marks in the TOEFL exams that is considered as one of the toughest exams in the world and getting such good marks that too at the first attempt speaks volumes of your hard work and dedication and how well u had prepared for this exam. I think u should consult your elders and other experts who can give u good information about your next possible step in this regard and i am pretty sure all your doubts would be cleared.
what say?

Thanks subhojit..I am happy for the appreciation. I guess you are right. Also, am preparing for the gmat..I suck in math but maybe I will try at least one attempt before I quit..Toefl..well my husband said it was easier than gre etc..but he took it twice in his days..(10 years back..)..and got a 560-600 score.. :) hence, I definitely proved to him that I can be dedicated if I love to do something. English was always my favorite subject..hence, I didn't sweat much on it..
