Hi Mylot friends,
Hyderabad business people are more accustomed to paper insertions than any city in India. Every day no New Paper means either it may be Eenadu, Andhra Jyothi, Sakshi, Times of India, Indian Express and The Hindu every paper carries paper insertions daily not one insertions I am finding several. We are getting two news papers Eenadu and The time of India both paper carries minimum of two insertions daily some time more that two or three, this is also a way of marketing the products.

Hey thanks a ton for the discussion. i think paper insertion method is one of the most reliable and effective method of popularizing a product and making it known among the people as most people read newspapers in the morning and something that is present inside the newspapers will definitely catch their attention. Even in Orissa, we get to see this but this does not happen on a daily basis rather on special occasions.
What say?

Hi Subhojit,
Thanks for the response, you are right the paper insertion will catch the eye of the people those who are seeing the paper in the morning. so the sales may be increased, and people might know the present day offers in shops and malls. Reliance fresh, Heritage stores and Big Bazar are dropping the pamphlets regularly in news papers, but in Hyderabad we will find minimum one pamphlet in one news paper. Have a nice day.

Hi natiliegleb,
Thanks for the response, and any body can make habit of collecting these pamphlets regularly. This is also a hobby and we are using these pamphlets to collect little dust after cleaning the room and after that they will be thrown in the dust bin. So we need not use a plastic cover or news paper to do this, have a nice day.

I think a lot of newspapers even those from other countries have pamphlet insertions, and it is indeed a marketing ploy that's been used by companies for decades now. Here in the Philippines, almost all our newspapers, if not all, have insertions. I'm not sure however if some were sanctioned by the newspaper owners or were just inserted with their knowledge.

yugasini:
good evening. yes. same methodology is adopted in chennai also. I enjoy. i go through the pamphlets, make use of it for buying some articles. otherwise cut them into small pieces and drop the same in temples so that the devotees can use it for taking sacred ash, kumkum to their homes.
Newspaper owners are aware of it. this profit goes to newspaper distributors who take the profit--otherwise they will ask more commission from newspaper owners.
