I was just wondering what Skullcandy does with defective headphones that they receive. Do they throw them out? Fix them? Reuse parts? If anyone does have any idea, please do respond. It is something I wonder about.

I think if you bring it to them for repair and the product can still be saved, they would repair it. Or if it still has warranty, they may even replace it. :) You can check out their site for product information, but the above is what most electronic companies do..

I would like to know if they actually fix them because most of the time they just give me a coupon for the price of the headphones so I can order the same pair of headphones or something different. But if they do fix them, do they resell? All these questions waiting to be answered. :/

from my experience with electronics, they repair for a certain price. but when they repair, they don't resell it to other customers. for those who send the products back because they are defective, i don't actually know what they do with those. probably look for the defective part, salvage what they can and use the functional parts? i'm not sure. all i know is when a product is under warranty, repair is free if it meets the warranty's guidelines. if not, they would repair for a fee and give you back your repaired product. if they gave you a coupon though, there it goes. :D you can get the exact headphones if you want and the coupon states you can. :D
