I mean I really am not getting a good feeling about this job that I applied to and they responded to me and everything. Everything sounded legit and all until I got the last email about some information. First I saw this add on line requesting for a veterinarian office receptionist and it pays 15.50 an hour. They posted up the hours that I would work. Sometime in the morning to 7:00 at night M-F and Saturdays 8-5 pm. They told me everything that the job would require. Greeting customers and their pets, answering incoming calls taking messages, setting up appointments and so on. Which sounded pretty much like every day office work to me. So I applied to the position and received an email later on today about the position. They informed me that they felt that I would be a good fit for the position and said that I was amongst the top 3 applicants for the job. They just wanted to know more about me, like what is my personality like and what my co-workers were to think of me. So I sent them another email explaining everything that I could to them about me and what my co-workers thought of me and how well I work with other people. So later on I received another email stating that I was definitely a good fit for the company and they went into more detail about the position. Stating other things that I would be doing for the company such as running errands for the company and buying products that would be needed for the company. They would provide me with a company car to get around to do the errands and they would also provide me with a company credit card to purchase the items. Next they needed me to have a credit check done on me as well as a background check before an interview could be set up. They stated because of the people they have hired in the past who have done the company wrong and they want to make sure that the next person they hire, isn't a criminal and won't steal anything from the company or use the companies credit card in the wrong way. I am kind of skeptical to do any of this because they can possibly get ahold of my social and I'm like wait a minute am I still working for a veterinarian hospital?
with all the details they are giving to me. Is this typically done at a veterinarian hospital as a receptionist. Plus I don't have much experience in a office so why are they so interested in me.
.
So what do you think of this does this job sound like a scam to anyone has anyone gotten similar emails like this. What are your thoughts.
I haven't sent them anything yet, I'm also skeptical because I've never been informed of the name of the company. So I emailed them back asking them where is this company located, what is your contact information and what is the name of it. And I'm not going any further till they respond. No response, well then I'm not interested.
I am so tired of these scam jobs that are posted on craigslist. That try and scam people who are seriously just trying to find work.
